Skaters in shorts
« on: June 08, 2016, 05:37:26 PM »
The thread about boardshorts got me thinking about pro skaters who skate in shorts and look good doing it. I feel like not to many skaters join the light and decide to free their legs from the heat .

1. Ishod Wair rocking all types of shorts throughout the years

2. Can't forget about Lucas Puig (couldn't find that many pictures unfortunately)

The past couple of years I somehow feel that street skating in shorts doesn't look as good if you're filming for a video. Though vert and bowl skaters look good in that gear.

Mike Carroll skates in shorts quite a lot. Sheffey and Natas basically skated just in shorts back in the day.
the lap dancer ...more like the slap cancer.

Puig is about the only guy who can pull it off.
I hate clips filmed of dudes wearing shorts for the most part, it just looks off to me for some reason.
Same with clips without a shirt

I can't stand skating in shorts. Don't like the way it looks, don't like the way it feels. Not to mention that your legs get so much more beat up. If I have shorts on and plan on skating I just change into pants instead.

Wenning does a pretty sick line in some flowery board shorts, I'm pretty sure it's in the DC video. The ledge spot where Appleyard does the line with that ends with the weird pole hippy jump, I can't remember the spot's name. Speaking of Appleyard he's done a lot of great skating in hacked off shorts.
