↑ looks pretty cool, hope they do a mid or non-vulc version .
Speaking of vulcs tho, the place I order a lot of my stuff from has Last resort His in green and blue in my size, he’s saying the sizing is similar to vans but others say they fit big... should I half size down?

Evo 2.0s in the new Lakai catalog has 'synthetic suede'.

I'd probably like them in a better colourway than what was presented in the catalog.

noticed that too! Let’s hope they can bring that material over to other models. The synth leather they used on the Riley a while back was actually really tough!

LRAB has a sizing tool that you can print out on their website.  That's supposed to be the surest way to know, as it's specific to the fit of their shoes.  My understanding is that the fit is closest to Cons CTAS pros, if you've ever had any of those.  I'm a 12 in virtually everything, but plan to go 11.5 on the LRABs since that's what the sizing tool indicated and it's what i wear in cons)

Cheers @kneebone
I’m kinda a big size 10 (borderline 10.5) so I went tts, hope that doesn’t backfire on me. Could probably bounce them pretty easy either way. Seems only select shops are getting the canvas ones; I only know of like 1 shop out of around 10 in Japan that got them!
Will let you all know my thoughts once they arrive. Also Pontus confirmed that they have (thin) rubber backing under the canvas for those wondering. Not sure what to do about the insole, I’ve heard both good and bad reports, don’t want to go and hack up a brand new pair of shoes tho...
Edit:
Only shop in Japan that I know has them at the moment:

I ordered blue, though the black look nice too!

I think the sheep line stuff is cool and their branding is nice. But in comparison, that stuff is usually on the thinner side. That kinda bugs me, add some more padding Dammit! lol

Alright guys !

Here is Mango and the brand new shoes

And this is what they look like after 1 week of skating all day

They are very flexible, the board feel and flick is very nice.
However, the insole is not removable and is super thin.

I believe that Sheep originally got it's name from a french guy trying to say Cheap. That's the story that was going around back then anyway.

Love the look of those. Did the sole have that weird felt stuff on them when you got them? Also, do they have any kind of tongue straps?

There are two rubber bands to keep the tongue centered, yes.

Maybe you guys should try the Jameson 2 eco.
They are cupsoles and the cushioning is way better than on the Sheep range.

I think SoleTech has moved away from the actual felt-looking stuff on the sole and instead use this other stuff that kinda looks like someone slapped some reinforced filament tape on the sole.  It definitely still impacts the grippiness of the sole though.  I have an older pair of indicator lows and on my hardwood floors it feels like i'm sliding around on socks!
I pulled some screenshots from the Etnies site and did a side-by-side.  The sheep sole is on the left and a Nick Garcia RLS sole on the right.  Sheep definitely have the coating.

With some of the past sheep, Etnies put a thin layer felt flocking on parts of the soles. This allowed them to be imported as slippers and thus at a lower cost, but it is annoying and slippery until it wears off.

If you ever went into a Payless when they were around and flipped over any of their knockoff Vans, you would see the flocking on the sole.

There was a pic of them in one of the recent Sole Tech catalogs and they looked like they had said flocking on the soles, which is why I asked.

Sucks cuz that coating is a dealbreaker for me.  Hope whatever money they're saving on import taxes makes up for the lost sales to skateboarders who care about grip (which I would think would make up a pretty big contingent of Sheep-reminiscers)

Oh yeah, the Sheeps do have that coating but I thought it was because they were using a recycled material for the sole... Thanks for the clarification !

i had a pair of eco jamesons like a decade ago, they weren't bad, but a bit stiff. i kind of want to just get a pair of regular canvas eras to hang out in and casually skate, aren't those vegan? thought the inside was synthetic. i used to keep one pair around and i still have a very beaten up pair on their last legs that are a tad too big tho.

@Gay Imp Sausage Metal ok, that's a bit odd since most people said they fit big when the suede models dropped, but would be good for me, since my shop was only carrying from my true size and up. which one did you get? i think both colors look great, but the green ones are my personal winner.

EDIT: just saw your post about them in the last resort thread haha. i'd probably go for tts, honestly not planning on skating my first pair of last resorts, so if they don't fit super snug it's not too bad. basically just checking my size.

yeah, most people say size down but there is a few saying go true to vans size. I talked to the guy at the shop I ordered from and he said he was a 10 in vans, and 10 in LRAB worked perfect for him. If I'm honest I'm probably around a 10.25 so maybe that's why they worked for me? Vans in 10 also have a tad more room in the toe for me these days as opposed to sole tech where it's almost a tight squeeze in my tts.

Also, the canvas LRABs don't seem to have padding around the collar, which by looking at pictures is different to the suede version...

I just received the Silo SC, and they're way too chunky for me... So I'll return them, and wait until July for the #NB420...
Btw, I have wide feet and went TTS, they fit great for me.

The 420s seems to have ruined me for other vegan shoes so far. Skated some canvas half cabs two days in a row and have a decent toe blister/bruised toe and had to ice my feet because of the lack of padding. And I wasn’t even jumping down stuff, just a couple hours of curbs. Plus I’ve got game changers insoles too.

Going to try out the 213s next, but if those don’t work I’m back to cupsoles/420s for the foreseeable future. Definitely going to stock up in July.

I did it to my Ryan Lays; there isn’t that much glue in there, especially if you haven’t worn them outside for an actual skate.
Definitely a lot lot easier than trying to get a regular vans insole out!

I was shopping this afternoon with the wife and we both tried on prime green Stan smiths. They felt amazing tbh and I could tell right away that they’d be a good shoe

Can we get a list of all vegan cupsoles? I really don't know what's available, it's a pity the recent black Accel Plus Everstitch isn't vegan like the last one.

I have to admit I buy suede shoes second hand but I want to change my ways and ditch wearing them entirely.
