The tops of my Etnies Calli Vulc shoes have been holding up great! Unfortunately the sidewall detached from the side of the shoes. It detached on both shoes, by the inside arch. Nothing some two part Gorilla exopy and some c-clamps couldn’t fix, but still annoying

These are by far the best vegan shoes I’ve skated. The upper material skates like real suede, and much better than canvas

Damn those look clean alright! Less big logos seem to do those shoes well.
Yeah i want those maranas real bad, but it seems that the US site only ever released a small size run 8-10 (i'm a 12).  I've been keeping my eye on the etnies site for a few weeks and that's all they've ever had.

Also it looks like those new Li-Ning Ellingtons might be all synth?  Haven't been able to find any solid info online though.

yeah, at least the black ones looks synth. rag doll had a pair on his insta and I asked him and his just cam back with a vague "idk, propably?" comment which is kinda strange because he's somewhat vocal about his veganism

Etnies US restocked the Vegan Marana if you didn’t have a chance when they did a limited stock launch.
Some decent sizes left in the vegan Joslin also

Just got the Maranas. They're pretty cool, lightweight. The toebox isn't so roomy tho, but I think it'll be better after wearing them for a few times. Went TTS.

Awesome, I’ve only ever owned one pair of maranas in canvas but they were way too tight tts... I hope the Joslin fits like my accel plus do, because the sizing on them is perfect for my feet!
Also, I chucked some state footwear insoles in my last resorts and they feel a lot better fit wise

Every time I see that stupid VF on the vans material tag I momentarily get excited that it means vegan friendly before I remember it's Vans Footwear and fuck them for that. Just write Vans.
[close]

I’m pretty sure the VF stands for Vanity Fair, since that’s who owns them.

Everyone at my park skates vans. Any vegan option is great but, éS for life…and sometimes DC.

That makes sense. My point still stands though. It's super annoying. I am also partial to eS

The VF stands for VF corp (who own Vans and a bunch of other brands like Northface and Timberland etc) not Vans Footwear btw.

Honest question, is VF a common abbreviation for "Vegan Friendly" in order for that VF Corporation tag to fake you out? I usually just see V on food or product if it's vegan.

Found some deals on the Franky’s and Samarria’s:

https://www.brushalleyskateshop.com/product/nb-numeric-franky-villani-nm255frv/7439?cp=true&sa=true&sbp=false&q=false

https://www.brushalleyskateshop.com/product/nb-numeric-samarria-nm213sam/7367?cp=true&sa=true&sbp=false&q=false

I picked up the Franky’s. I’ll post back after a couple sessions on how they’re holding up

good price on those NB#, do they fit true to size?

They just came yesterday. Compared to vegan Sole Tech shoes the #NB’s fit large. They have a little more width in the toe box than Vans or Enties I’ve skated in the past

Just saw that in the Etnies Summer 2021 catalog.
Synthetic suede 8)

Just ordered these up from the Etinies Website for $33 (minus another 10%). Very limited sizes left though. I was lucky.

I tried these on at my local shop just for the fuck of it  when I went there to buy a deck as they had everything 20% off surprisingly. Most comfortable shoes I’ve worn out the box. They’re still in the box though as I have too many shoes but I’m really looking forward to wearing them and later on skating them.

I did, but felt weird about posting my feet on the internet so I deleted the post lol. As Frank and Fred said, they're really comfy out of the box. After one session they felt broke in. The only complaint is the foxing falls off the side of the shoe quite easily and needed to be reglued several times. The best vegan shoe I've skated without a doubt though, would definitely buy them again, bummed I missed the sale. The faux-suede Sole Tech used is amazing!

Lakai must have lost a vegan staff member or team rider because they don’t even have a single vegan model in their two new catalogs…

I've had them on an open tab for like two weeks now. Waiting until eS does a crazy markdown on them or like a "get a shirt with a full price shoe" promo. Etnies did the free shirt thing two days after I bought the Maranas from their site.

keen for either of those, just need to know that the sizing is good like my accel slim plus. Last pair of Maranas I had were way too tight in tts. Also does the Quattro have tongue straps?

I really like the Maranas. They were tts for me and I  definitely appreciated the wider toe box. From what I’ve read, it’s recommended you go 0.5 size up for the quattros.

Quattro and Silo SC have tongue straps! They're comfortable, both of them. I definitely recommend 0.5 up in both of those models, just like in the Marana/Joslin.
