Skater with the smallest bag of tricks?
« on: August 24, 2017, 02:32:54 PM »
I feel like I've only seen Theotis do the same 3 tricks over and over again. He's got my vote.

He skates really slow too, but that's another thread.
In 5 years skateboarding will be dirtbiking

Small bag of tricks doesn't really mean a bad thing. Muska is def up there and one of my all time favourites, also Tom Penney didn't have a huge trick selection and is of course one of the greatest ever.

If having no tricks counts as having the smallest bag of them, I win this by a long shot.

Tom Penny is different, we've actually seen him do a ridiculous amount of tricks. Have you ever seen that Es Menikmati bonus reel? He was like Plan B Mike Carroll with the bag of tricks he'd pull out.

Sean Pablo definitely has one of the smallest bag of tricks of any new pro out right now.  It's crazy that he got a board the same time those other FA guys got their.

At least when you're a washed-out hipster douchebag in NY, you can milk it at some decent looking, hard to skate spots. In LA you're just a tan-lined faggot in a school yard somewhere.

I feel like a fair chunk of pro skaters have relatively small bag of tricks.

Though an incredibly gifted and stylish skater, Nate Jones had like half a dozen tricks.

I remember reading an interview of his where he said something along the lines of rather than learn all the tricks he thought it would be better to perfect a few

Penny has a bag of shrooms instead of a bag of tricks but he could do whatever he wanted on a board.

I feel like it's more they just film the tricks they know will look really good.  No one gets to pro level skating by literally just doing a few tricks.  Like if a pro known for sick/stylish 360 flips put out an ad with a gross looking switch back heel or something, people would talk crap on it.

It's not the size of the bag, but the girth of the grind.

What matters most is whose chin that small bag is resting on.

Cold bushings can result in shrinkage.

I love Brophy, but he does like 5 tricks.
Neen is an obvious one.
I love Herman as well, but he's pretty limited in what he does nowadays.
Also, I'd like to nominate myself since I do the same 4 or 5 goddamn tricks everywhere.
