Haven't tried any NB# before but I'm hyped on Reynolds and Henry being on the team so I ordered some 1010's on sale yesterday, excited to check them out

I bought them from Daddie's board shop for like $68, anyone with feet smaller than size 8 could get some on joesnewbalanceoutlet.com right now for around $50. They've got some of the other skate models on there too but idk what sizes are available.

The fit is more snug on the 440 lows, but I’ve been grabbing them over my highs lately. Just cause they’re easier to put on and kinda look better with my fitted pants/has more of a summer causal Dad vibe.

For the V2s they should give the highs a pull tab or something, just to make them easier to slip on. Maybe do what the vans Lizzie does and have it go down to show the logo.

We got this Reynolds post with some 👀 emoji which makes me believe that the shoes we're seeing here could be his pro model.
There is a half cabish vibe to it to me. A cupsole mid top would be a hammer 🔨

These are super old AM101's (non-Numeric) that came out of our design office in like 2017 I think.  Walmart.com is basically like ebay/Amazon so it's always odd when stuff shows up on there and makes it look like a company actually sold their stuff to Walmart when they didn't.

Sort of random, but I'm interested in what NB has to offer, specifically the 508

Has anyone tried popping the N off the side wall? I wouldn't mind if it was the same color as the rest of the upper, but they always have it as a contrasting color and it throws me off

Grey Day 808s look good

These look awesome. I have the grey day 1010s. Also, I just got my first 808s in wheat. They feel so much better in my opinion.

Grey Day 808s look good

These look so amazing love that they gave these the iconic grey cw. Told myself I wasn’t going to buy more shoes to skate in but I’m always rolling up to the spot in a grey 990 anyways so might as well add this to my rotation.

Are they dropping tomorrow?

I think they're supposed to release tomorrow but Premier already has them in super limited sizes left:

They botched it with the Poets 1010 by notmaking the N dark grey with a black underlay. Good shoe but 1st step would be to take a seam ripper to that N.

Just got 808’s in wheat and god damn they are tight as fuck . I’m a 9.5 in 1010’s and went 9.5 in 808 and they actually hurt my feet.

Ordered a size 10 and sending the 9.5 back

how's the break in for 440s?

I have a pair now that's a little tight -- can't imagine going up a half size. The biggest piece that bugs me out of the box is the slight pressure on the inside arch. should i expect that to pack out a bit or do these just not work for my feet?
[close]

I walked around in mine for a couple weeks before skating them.  I had pulled the insole out because it's a literal napkin, tried using a pair of FP's I have but they're just a bit too big, but threw some Vans Popcush insoles in and once they flattened out a bit I've had no issues.

They stretch out though- I didn't have issues with the arch, for me it was the outside toe box, my little toe got a blister the first few days I wore them.

Absolutely love them (I have the 440 High) now, best skate shoe I've owned in a long ass time.

Yup, I did the same exact thing with mine. They were a little tight on my toes straight out of the box but stretched out within two weeks or so. I also threw Popcush insoles in mine after they broke in and they felt so much better than the stock insole.

I also experienced pressure on my medial arch, then removed the medial tongue strap inside and they fit much wider, plus no more pressure.

per the nb site, doesn't look like it - but that doesn't mean someone didn't just copy and paste the 1010's default specs

Bruh, it’s been discussed on end in this thread that you gotta half size up on 808’s.
Do you get deja vu, huh?

I have a buddy who doesn’t really skate, but watches videos sometimes - he had some Tiago 1010s on and had no idea it was even a skate shoe, let alone who Tiago is.  I feel like it, and probably the 808 too, has that crossover appeal, it just looks like a cool New Balance shoe.  Have to imagine the non-skating audience is the largest segment of those buying these things.  Plus “Tiago” just sounds like a made up name shoe companies assign to a given SKU.

^Not sure where you live and skate but my area stay on NB everything. Tiagos, 440’s and just yesterday two different homies popped up at the skatepark each had the new Franky shoe on. 🤷🏽‍♂️ I’ve never seen a “civilian” in numerics personally.

A lot of people that are into the Tiago shoes (be it the 808 or 1010’s) seem to be the type that collect, and want them in every color. I know myself I have probably close to 20 pairs of 808 & 1010’s combined.

i've actually seen quite a few non-skaters in numerics recently, most commonly the 306, some 440s.

is there a teddy santis nb with a color similar to that poets 1010? i feel like i've seen that colorway on one of the 990s he did

I’m in LA.

Good to hear there’s skaters buying multiple pairs, I’m definitely one of them too.  Just figure the mainstream non-skating audience is bigger, seemed unlikely skaters alone were driving that shoe’s success.  The same way D3’s Janoski’s etc. appealed to a broad group beyond actual skaters.
