I'm showing my wife this post next time she complains about me wanting more shoes. I bought a third pair of sneakers and you'd think I was fucking Hitler.

Does this mean that our NB# mids look like shit or if we made a hi-top, it would be tight because everyone else's look like shit?  Just trying to clarify.
Either way, we do have something coming down the pipe...

The world needs more cupsole mids. But not on a chuck taylor clone.

Is the 659 more of a cupsole, vulc or something in between?

Anyone? Contemplating these for walking/roaming/filming if they're not flimsy cupsoles (Etnies scout comes to mind).

Sorry man, I must have missed this query.  659's are the perfect walking/filming/chilling shoe.  It's a super lightweight cupsole with a super cushy sole unit and collapsable upper (you can basically fold it into itself to pack easy).  I roll long airport missions in these when travelling.  Hope that helps.

Thanks for the information, appreciate it! Have to put these into serious consideration.

I am a size 12 in Nike Dunk but the instep is too narrow. Thinking of trying a 13 in NB cause they recommend a 1/2 size up.

Any one know which NB is the stubbiest/widest in design? Looks like the 533 on screen but hard to know from pictures. Art does a great job but he has different considerations than I do. I am only interested in cup soles so 440 or 913 would be considered. The 420 seems too narrow in the instep.

Thanks to whoever chimes in.

I've got wider feet that are sorta stubby and the 533 works really nicely. It's counterintuitive and doesn't really look like it would be for wider feet but it's my most comfortable shoe. I did size up a half size, even in the v2, so you may wanna keep that in mind.
them cats are out getting mashed up to jungle, he's out mashing up jungle cats. it's just not gonna work.

I just got some 440s but I’m a size 12. I suppose I could measure the width of my foot if it would help?

(My feet are pretty wide and I’ve mostly skated 288s until now, which is also a cupsole.)

Thank you both. Both those shoes seem to be really liked. NB seems to really push the half size up. I was thinking the 533 looked a little more potato like, and therefore wider and stubbier. Imma cop a size 13 and hope there not to to big, but I am not sure I can even where anything but throwback shoes but I hope I can have something somewhat modern.

Thanks

I would love a supportive true high top with a quality cupsole. Not a lot of offerings out there right now like that. Last ones I liked were the Reynolds G6 highs, but the plastic in the back heelcup broke off right at the footbed. Been skating Vans Skate Hi's, but would love something more technical and more ergonomic.

anybody got info on the 288 S that jack curtin rocks a lot lately?

somebody mentioned it a page back maybe......it seems to be a 288 but with a sole that reminds me of the adidas city cup or a reebok workout.

288-S comes out for Holiday 2019 (Oct. 1).  It's a new sole unit but similar to the OG 288, but the upper is now updated with a sock liner and some mesh paneling towards the top.  First drop has Davis Torgerson and Jack Curtin colors for it.  Definitely a more sporty look but everyone here in the office that has skated it are hyped on the update.

Does this mean no more OG 288's? Skating a pair now and loving them. The sole is balding a little quicker then some other NB shoes, but nothing really to complain about.

the sole on the 440 is more durable than the 288 but i think the update to the 288's will improve its durability.

Unfortunately, I really like the way the 288 looks now. It's retro sporty, and it sounds like the upgraded version will be a little more modern (hints of the Adidas City Cup sole, split sole design).
Either way, I'm not worried about it skating well... that's a given.

Can’t go wrong with a black/grey shoe.

Thinking about pulling the trigger on Karangelov's 379. Price is tempting but I really don't need more shoes + I'm moving to another country...
Anybody here had tried them?
