I told myself during the recent year that whenever the opportunity presented itself I would have to buy any available pair of Dunks just so I could skate some Dunks again. Then a local shop put up the brown vegan highs online with a messed up name so bots couldn’t find them and I happened to see it at the right time but… they were brown? And not suede?

Then the same shop did the same thing for these tv static ones, but I couldn’t picture a grown ass man like myself with 0 street/any cred whatsoever wearing those even for skating (plus I’m kinda over hitops). Then a day or two later I visited another shop in person and these tv dunks were just sitting on the shelf there between all the other sb’s. Which is good because I got to see they were even more wack than the pictures.

 Now this gundam shit and all? I don’t know, it’s kinda starting to feel like were are turning the tide and some Dunks might be attainable in the future again, but then the 1010s are pretty fucking good as well with actually good colorways.

Agreed, def doesn’t work too well in this form, but I think the first version they did (laser Orange?) was a more successful reference to the original because the colors were more specific

They really should have done that, on the original air max 90 the mudguard is black and runs the length of the shoe. Would make sense then if there was black in the front of the dunk too... love the concept of doing air max colorways on dunks, but yeah swing and a miss on this one. Not a terrible colorway, but not great.

The laser oranges on the other hand... those were fucking great

Not sure why people get 6.0 vibes. It looks clean to me. Reminds me of that Japanese exclusive Math grid paper dunk with the color scheme madness materials. Would prefer suede on the toe over that mesh/nylon but i probably won’t hit on them so it doesn’t matter haha

Yeah looks tear away. You can kinda see a slightly blue-ish leather sticking out. These are honestly pretty solid looking
