i wear us13 most of the time. 12 in cons.

i went 13s on vm001 canvas on the first drop and never liked the fit. just got 12s in vm001 canvas and they fit amazing out the box. everyones feet are different but i hope this helps someone

im truly a 12.5 but its a neglected size. end up with 13s mostly
sized down to 12 for my vm002 cheddars and they fit like a glove

All this swapping insole talk made me think that Last Resorts were mad uncomfortable. I used to skate cupsoles only, but after really liking my Cons One Stars I decided to give the suede VM003s a try and I find them more comfortable than those. I haven't skated them as my Cons still have some life left in them but so far I really the 003s. If the sole holds up comparably to them then I have definitely found my favorite vulc.

I found my insole on my drop 5 vm001s to be great at first but slowly get that sinking to concrete feeling. Some people do fine on stock insoles tho so results will vary.

003 is basically a blazer with a chuck taylor and it's a really good balance

oops i meant sole. not the outsole. but yes the 003 skates like a chuck and i love skating chucks

Just skated the VM003s, but my heel keeps slipping in them, even when the laces are fully tightened. I think it's due to to smooth leather around the ankle that doesn't really grip a lot. Think I'm just gonna keep 'em as chillers, although I really liked everything else about the shoes.

Walked a couple of miles in my VM003s yesterday, finding they dig into the top of my big toe on both sides when the shoe flexes, no matter how I fuss with the laces. I've had like 10 pairs of VM001s with no problems. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Pushed through today and they're more or less broken in now. Just wanted to share my experience lol.

I had the exact same experience. I wear 10.5 and fixed the toe digging by swapping the insole to a size 10 popcush

Not sure if it was this drop but Pontus in an interview did say they were experimenting with a harder rubber that still had a good grip

Yeah, someone posted a quote from a mailing list a couple of pages back about this drop having harder-wearing rubber and slightly denser foam insoles.

I've only put 10 hours of skating into them, but so far the insoles feel much better too. Usually by this point they'd be getting a bit concretey and I'd be thinking about swapping them out for some footprints.

Thats the worst with vans, shoes just falling apart.. Never had that with my 001s tho, neither in hi or low.

Hopefully its just bad luck. Seen one pair on here do it but thats it

They're essentially the same size, so if there's room in your VM002s then sure. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it.

Not a shoe guy (nor a foot guy, for that matter), so I could be way off here, but maybe to allow better tightening around the front foot for people with narrow toes?

this is how i see it too. the lower laces give you room to torque and loosen where you need to give you a pretty form fitting shoe

Been skating my first pair of last resorts for about a month and I really love them. I previously mostly skated cons so wasn’t a huge change to VM003 Hi Canvas but they’re def my new fav skate shoe. Basically exactly like a converse except better construction and better materials. For those still curious about sizing, I’m a 9.5 in cons, a 10.5 in Nike and a 10 in last resort.
