Anyone skate OJ Elites? If so how are they compared to STF or F4?

I've skated OJ Elite 55mm, 101 duro (https://www.tactics.com/oj/winkowski-trash-panda-elite-universals-skateboard-wheels/blue-101a), Spitfire F4 Conical full 54mm, 101 duro (https://www.tactics.com/spitfire/formula-four-conical-full-skateboard-wheels/white-101d), Bones Easy Streets 54mm, 99 duro, v5 sidecut, and Bones STF 55mm, 103 duro, v5 sidecut.

I enjoyed the OJ's and really liked the shape. At 101 duro, however, they felt somewhat chalky, chirped a lot on concrete transition, and rattled my feet on rough surfaces. Good slide and good speed overall though.  By comparison, the spitfire F4 101 duro felt much softer/engaging and more comfortable on all surfaces.  The easy streets 99 duro  felt super plush and forgiving rolling around on the street, but are a bit grabby and require more push to break loose and slide (powerslides and ledge tricks). I am currently running the Bones STF 55mm, 103 duro v5 sidecut. This is my favorite wheel shape so far. The wheel is very fast on concrete transition, but has good controllable slide-ability.

These are just my observations.  I am sure something in this thread will eventually make me question everything and jump down another rabbit hole in search of the next best thing...which reminds me, I've got a set of 99 duro f4 classics waiting in the wings to try next...the madness never ends.

I've only ever rode bones 101 STFs, I'm tempted to get some tablet 101 F4s at some point but the OJs sound neat too.

Anyone ever ride Speedlab wheels? They came out with a Jason Adams wheel that I like, but I don't know how the wheels perform.

I have a set of their 58mm 97a Danforths that I like. They’re pretty wide, rounded conical shape. It felt like they took forever to break in but they handle a little crust and still roll reasonably fast. I don’t ride much smooth concrete so my experience is more on streets but even on rough concrete, they’ll break loose for a speed check or something if you push hard.
I only skate prime numbers, so it's either 53s or 59s, feast or famine

I've a post in this thread that directly compares V1/V3/Radial Slims, go back a few pages.

Damn near the same contact patch width on similar mm wheels (v1/v3) the major difference is the cut; V1s are wider than V3s and the V1 is a rounder cut. Prefer V3>v5>V1

You mentioned in another thread you were looking to sell some Ventures, are you still looking to sell them?

Anyone ever ride Speedlab wheels? They came out with a Jason Adams wheel that I like, but I don't know how the wheels perform.

They use Creative Urethane for a lot of their wheels so if you've ever skated a wheel from like Jivaro, Portland Wheel Company, Orbs, older Autobahn etc... then that should give you an idea. CU wheels are really good, not quite as good as F4 but they're not too far behind. If you want to try the same size/duro from them then you can get them for $12

https://tgmskateboards.com/skateboard-wheels-set-54mm-x-33mm-99a-pink-white-swirl/

Here's a similar one but 97a

https://tgmskateboards.com/skateboard-wheels-set-54mm-x-34mm-97a-black-white-swirl/

They did have the black/yellow that Speedlab sells as their exposure model but it looks like its sold out. They also have some more traditional size/shape CU blanks, look for the ones that say "USA made".

I have both of the swirls I linked and they're quite good. The 97a black and white look really cool when they're spinning and are a nice winter ride when there's a lot of salt on the streets. I haven't skated the 99a as much but they're basically the same thing except a little harder. Definitely high quality urethane and a really nice conical shape very similar to a SF conical full. They don't slide as well as an F4 (or a 99a STF for that matter) but the slide is still pretty good. Definitely recommend them if you're not a wheel color purist, they're pretty much unbeatable in terms of bang for your buck.

Yeah man. The hard line shape is great. You can see my shape preferences based on the hardline and v5 side cut. Given that, I am curious to see how I feel about the 55mm spitfire f4 classics shape. No hurry to jump off the v5's anytime soon though.

Love that shape, if you were trying spits and wanted that shape, Conicals would have been your best bet. The OJs look Wide AF tho...usually I'm not a fan of wide wheels; 52mm Bones V5s/Spit Radial Slims is as wide as choose to go.

Need help identifying this wheel brand:

All I know so far is that it is European, 52mm, 99a and probably a slim wheel.

What's worse is that the wheels are 83B not 83A. Imagine buying these and thinking they were cruiser wheels that slide.

also any reason to post this.

That's probably it, I knew the logo looked vaguely familiar, likes it was around the Lordz (Flo Marfang, Alex Carolino, William Phan) era. Would make sense since most of the setup looks Euro.

Always been an AB fan, especially the dual duros. The ABS (back in the day) was real grippy.  I'm after the Torus Dual Duro tho.  Not for sale anywhere yet tho.
