That's likely the size board I should ride at my height, but here I am telling myself that my 8.38/148 is a tank

I fuck with this setup. very sick. spooky too. reminds me of Jason Adams on scarecrow in like 96. idk why.
This has me cracking up, what exactly does Black Flag have to do with measuring your dick starting behind ya nuts?

I bought a ton of sets ten years ago when augie was still making them, slowly gave a bunch away or lost the boards that had then. Sadly he stopped a few years ago and passed away. They're hard to find here, and this is the hometown. Now I've only got a few sets. Really bummed because I used to have the label flame and Tony Hawk models.

I love the 8.28 DLX shape. Curious to try the even shorter WB true fit mold 8.25, but that might be too short for me

How short is the wb on the true fit mold?

I had this 8.28 doomsayers board in 2017 ish, and it was memorable. Just worked really well, wood (bbs I’m assuming) was excellent. Was definitely a shorter deck.

Does anyone know if there is a low 8.25 venture? If there ever was one or any news of one in the future? I know a lot of people would disagree but that would be my perfect truck

Could you elaborate? I don’t quite understand why they wouldn’t work.

Second session today on this setup, it was a bit wet where I was skating and my bushings felt funky. Deck shape seems fine so far. I didn't plan to do the forbidden 14 but no rail in sight the last few weeks.

Too low to the ground. They would wheelbite at such a low height.

Search through the venture thread. Good bit of info on it.

Still a pipe dream, but maybe if everyone in the Venture thread DMs DLX like men / women, maybe they will finally act the collective voice of 20 idiots on an antiquated internet message board.

@ok Pasta Monster here nailed it. It might be similar to an 8.25 from the mid 2000’s though, so I’m gonna give one a shot eventually

I’ve skated venture lows since I was a kid, I would happily put up with the wheel bite haha
There are other companies that have done wider low trucks, I think it would sell well but I’m biased haha

ace has a low truck in sizes up to 8.75 @49mm tall
to say venture cant do the same is ridiculous
while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo
