I just did a quick measurement with the Stanley Powerlock II and it seems pretty symmetrical to me.

Edit:  now that I look at it more, the tail does seem fuller, as mentioned by homie in another thread.

.

From someone asking about Ultra corp in the woodshop thread, I had to check and found a couple of boards that could go here.  Anyone know what wood they are using or seen them before??

Ultra Corp Nymph egg shape

Tell me this isn't the Krooked Sweatpants deck...

I ordered the Mike York and was pleasantly surprised it was south central. Not sure about the rest of the boards but I would assume they only used one woodshop.
I got caught slippin while perusing this thread buzzed and pulled the trigger on the Nymph Egg.
Shape lookin real nice, but we’ll see; I’ve been burned buying shaped boards online before.
Also, how can I tell wood shop once I receive so that I can report back?

Edit: How does South Central mark their boards?
Just a sticker or…?

South central decks have a very sharp edge on the nose and tail only. Also a small dent on the back bolts is another tell tale.

Small dent on the back bolts? Deformity in the press or some sort of signature? I’ve never noticed this

This one is intriguing. I only tend to ride eggs, footballs for shapes these days but I like the look of this. Not sure I'd pay $150 though.

Deck Specs:
Width: 9.8"
Length: 31.75"
Wheelbase: 14" & 14.5"
Nose: 6.3" & 5.8"
Tail: 6.4"

Would be great if the tail wasn’t 6.4 so ridiculously short for a board that size

Like a punch on top of the board on the back truck holes. Just a very small dent. BBS would do it on the front truck.

Just got the Ulta Corp.
Didn’t notice sharp edges at nose and tail.
Small dent between back bolt holes.
South Central confirmed(?)

The hard edges are usually
On their popsicles and maybe they have done away with them or toned them down.  Almost like the heroin razor edge but not as extreme.

Yeah, definitely not even close to a Razor Edge situation; straight up regs rounded edge.

This was the sharpest one we had in the shop, they used to be almost square.

I had a 5Boro last year that was South Central and it was noticeably more squared off than a BBS or PS. Wasn't quite a Heroin razor edge like others have said. Wonder when they started rounding them off more.

I’ve been tempted to put Indy 169 on my krooked sweatpants deck, can anyone confirm if the wheels would be visible from the top on the rear truck?  159’s seem just a bit smalll.

That’s what had me curious, his board setup looks perfect, the 169 axle is a bit longer, 9.125” so I thought wheels might hot rod.

That 0.125” is about half the width of a standard pencil eraser so I reckon you’ll be alright. I say this from a place of love as someone who has also overthought truck width down to the millimeter.

Always an individual choice, but there are way more Indy 169s, Thunder 161s or Ace Classic 55 / AF1 66s than other smaller trucks on setups in this thread and on here in general.  Search "Sweatpants" for some good pics of both top and bottom views, the top view doesn't show any wheel at all showing.

I would say go with 169s with any more regular or normal shaped wheels, or 159s with big wide ass wheels, but that is just me.

Most of the shaped 9.5 to 10" boards I have skate way better on 169s, or other approximately 9" wide trucks, taking the shape and taper into account.

* Sweatpants is 9.3 over the far front bolts and 8.8 over the far back bolts, but I don't get a lot of wheel showing at all, even with the Radial Full wheels when lined up to that shape board.

I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

Thought so, the grip kinda gave it away. I’m pretty sure Ambika has been tossing those in on orders. Got a sheet on with my last 2.
I can understand why you couldn’t resist. The sale prices are insane.

You can also think of it as 1 and a half speed washers on either side as 1/8" is roughly 3mm and a speed washer is about 1mm. Been overthinking too ;)
