Skating roofs with solar panels and grinding them. If you mess them up than they likely will be covered by insurance.

I see lots of etnies shoes lately. Not only in the professional contest scene, also at the skateparks I go to.
Never have etnies been really popular where I live. Nowadays almost every third skater at the park is wearing etnies shoes.

I feel the Marana has a lot to answer for, regarding the Etnies renaissance.

Etnies has currently the best lineup from Sole Tech for me which is crazy. I was always a Emerica & éS guy but right now I feel like both are kinda fucking up while Etnies has some cool shoes out. I think I bought my first pair of Etnies last year.

Is anyone else beyond 100% done with collabs? Just saw an ad for the DC x Star Wars Kalis vulc.  I understand all of this kind of stuff is just a money grab for the companies involved but it’s so corny.  Element Star Wars decks, DC Star Wars shoes… collabs already cheapen the creative and artistic direction of skate products enough - at least collab with something that hasn’t already been collabed with by another company.

The only good collabs are things like etnies/Michelin where it actually makes sense to make a better product. But there's a million nerds now who just buy anything of a known franchise so it makes sense for DC to make some star wars shit that will be instantly bought. DC shoes X DC comics seems like it would make a bit more sense tho. Maybe too obvious

Ever since @TwisT postee those mid windrows I’m a normal colorway I been keeping my eye out for them to cut the E off and wear. Which got me looking at the etnies site. Joslin vulc looks good too and some others. I had some of their cup slips and they was nice the Michelin sole never went bald for me but I ruined them by working in them

I think DC comics sued them back in the day, assuming there might still be bad blood... could see some cool colorways if they did collab...

in 2005 DC comics (warner media) decided they were gonna sue DC shoes for their "DC" mark. In doing so they discovered they actually had never claimed the mark but DC shoes did. They now regularly cut a check to DC shoes.

What?! Really? Kalis gets paid by DC Shoes AND DC comics? That's awesome. I gotta buy even more Batman and Superman comics now.

this makes sense with nostalgia fully swung back to the 2000s and people losing interest in hypebeast stuff, there will be more of a resurgence in traditional skate brands
