I just saw True Detective over the weekend. Not sure if it is o Netflix but pretty good show with just A+ acting. Ending was kind of meh though but it's definitely worth a watch.
The ending is the best part exactly because its so anticlimactic. The whole point is that you can't win. They got their one guy, but the conspiracy as a whole will never be solved, because something that deep cannot be unearthed by anyone, let alone a couple of guys in a small town. Towards the end, at one point theres a TV in the background, with a reporter saying "family denies all knowledge of distant relative..." That's paraphrased, but that line sums up the entire point of the show. If something like that were going on in real life, which isn't too far removed from crazy conspiracy peoples ideas of the illuminati, there would be no way to uproot their power. Everything is for naught.
