Gotta luv wheel wells ❤️

I kinda dislike wheel wells. My boards that have them always get weird cracks around at the thinnest part and it seems impossible for brands to make them symmetrical. They're always uneven, which sucks for someone like me who gets way too annoyed at little things like that. It won't put me off from buying a deck, but if I had the choice, I'd always go without wheel wells.

The plain / natural boards do look a little needy from new, but with a bit of a scratch here and there they certainly look a whole lot better.

I checked back through your history, but didn't see anything else about that one, so what is it - a blank from somewhere specific, an unknown, a DIY blanking or what???

Seem quite a few plain natural bottom layers recently on my travels, so although I could guess, I am more curious to know what you got there and what size it is.

Any which way, it is looking good.

* I got my hands on some good 8.5s here in AU recently that look like this, which is all the more reason I ask.

I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

That board, like the other dozen I have sitting around started out as an Enjoi, a quick sand and some clear coat and this is the result.

In fact thanks to your Eagle eye deal hunting at Aussie skate shops I snagged another 4 Enjoi boards on Monday which I will sand the panda off too.

Yeah that did come up well.

Some of the other ones I have taken back to bare wood were a little more average, but I have also found a moderate supply of other blank 8.5s with stained top but blank / natural bottom I have been coming to terms with, but still not sure if I will skate any myself.

Others who have them often paint them or find something really dirty / waxy or whatever to session soon after setting up so it looks a little more "normal" right from go, each to their own I guess.

Glad there are still some options to pick up cheap boards as well.  Get em while you can on that deal.  I feel like we are past the peak of those boards now, but who knows - still could be some good deals here and there with more of them going on clearance if some shops are just sick of looking at them, or end up getting more to get rid of with these other sales coming up.

I have another one of these eggs in the wrapper still I am going to set up in April because I probably won't need it much over the winter.

I've been skating this board since June - I would have moved on from it but Chicago winter has me out less, and it's just so perfect. Considering grabbing a few of this generator 8.25 magenta shape since they're on clutch wood at the moment.

How can someone spot the difference from BBS to Clutch wood if he has a few Magenta decks laying around?

To my knowledge they've been generator up till the last drop - Both theories and alltimers have been using Chapman (and thus clutch). Though I did just hear Josh on a podcast today saying he loves generator wood and the theories boards are the same shape as magenta so it's likely temporary. The main difference is the barcode on the packaging, and I think almost all generator magenta boards are the dark brown stain (unsure with the chapman/clutch boards).

None of the 5 Magenta decks I had/have are with this dark brown stain. I will look at them tomorrow and can post top pics. In the meanwhile, I suggest we ask @Woodshop
