i know it's been debated to death, but how is the consensus on the sizing nowadays? looking at 440 and 288 and am not sure if i should order my usual or maybe half a size up, coming from an 8.5 in blazers or dunks.

For 440 and 288 go half size up

Also disagree, I know I'm in the minority and have narrowish feet but I like to get a half size down in 440. Would say TTS for most.

Can we just get a list of the NB# shoes and what we should or shouldn’t size up on?

From my own personal experience with NBs.

Need to Full Size up:
346 (Discontinued)
533 V.1 (Discontinued)
598 (Discontinued)

Need to 1/2 size up:
288 (Being phased out)
533 V.2 (Being phased out)

True to Size:
420
913

From what I've been reading forum wise this seems to be roughly the same experience across the board with those particular shoes. I have slightly wider feet than normal, not too wide where I need to buy a wide shoe, but not wide enough in most cases to warrant going up a half or a full-size in most cases.

Here's what I'm consistently hearing about the current NB line up from here:

Need to 1/2 size up:
212 (Might require full-size up)
255
288
288S
533 V.2
868 (Might require full-size up)

True to Size:
306
379
420
440
913

THE 288 IS BEING PHASED OUT?!  :(

The two NB’s I want most right now are 868’s and 288’s.

The 288s looks good but I like a real tongue.

I guess I should have gotten into Numeric a few years ago.

As far as sizing goes this is my experience:

440: TTS
212: Get a .5 size down from TTS

How's the cushioning on the 533v2 and new 288s compared to the 913 or 868?
Or even the AM574? Tried those on and they're pretty comfy.

Should we be describing our foot shapes and if we like skating snug shoes?
Anyhow..

913 TTS
868 TTS
AM574 maybe size up 0.5, they're kinda narrow and toebox seemed pointy. Also think they were leather or synth..

With the 868s any current (within the past year) colorway is TTS. When they first came out for me personally I had to go up half a size, which I believe I’ve read the same from most people in here, before the sizing was corrected at the beginning of 2018.

My skate shop just confirmed to me that Numeric has stopped making the 288. I got him to order me the last chill colorway they had. If I like it I’m gonna snag as many as I can online.

I skated the 288S for about an hour before spraining my ankle.  They felt weird, like I couldn't feel the board.  I had worn them around for a week and they felt broken in.  So personally I don't think the 288S is better.  I wasn't a big fan of the original 288 because of the high heel, but it seemed to have better board feel.  I thought the 288 had one the best tongues ever, not really a fan of the sock liner the 288S has.

I could see the 288 having better boardfeel cuz it doesn't have a midsole, right?
Did you take a look under the insoles? 288S should have padding there.
My joints like the feel of a midsole but I can totally see how the decrease in boardfeel would bug most ppl.

Yes the 288S definitely has a midsole.  i like the midsole in the PJ shoe and didn't have problems with the Westgate.  I think the 288S just doesn't work for my foot and maybe runs a little big.

SUPER sorry on the lag on this reply.  Sadly for my vegan homies out there, this 288s model is PU coated suede and not fully synthetic so it won't work for the guys looking for all veg/vegan models.

Just got 913 in, tried em quick and got a little toe room after going half size up to 13 (no 12.5) but they feel great and the fit and finish seems to be top notch. No surprise there

The Tiago Lemos (NB#1010) pro model comes out in Q3 2020. So, probably around June or July.
