So my new light table that I built myself:

has yielded these three starts as a test run for something I'm trying to get going. I Kind of hate the title Barge now, I'm kind of leaning more towards either TIME or Rare.

Input and ideas anyone?

Draw the thing lower (text on tail) so that the face of the monster dog/dragon isn't going to be covered by the trucks.

I Agree. I like Barge too

I also agree. I also like Barge better than Time or Rare.

How about different font?? Or the same font with some flavor on it??

I don't mind the font much, but I like Barge the best out of those 3. Time seems like an Alien off shoot name, and Rare is just eh.
And agree with the moving or downscaling of the graphic so as to not cut off the head.

It's called a "Foo Dog" or "Fu Dog". It's actually a lion though.

It's a chinese protector or something like that.

What do you use the light table for?  Stenciling?  Also what kinda blanks you running?  I'm interested in making some boards of my own.

Graphic looks super rad.

This was an old magenta board I sanded and cut. Gave it to a homie for his birthday, threw a single rail in the middle for fun, painted it a bit, threw in the snacks because who the fuck doesn't want snacks.

damn paul! i would have paid 6 bucks for that easy. nah but for real tho that shit looks crazy. and i mean crazy in an awesome way. i would hang it on my wall no doubt. and yo sweatercuff i think barge is cool but my vote is for TIME. RARE sounds good but i think TIME would look better on a board. and even tho that graphic isnt really my style or anything it looks good as always.

thanks for the responses everybody.  painted over BARGE
and
for the meantime, I've decided to just not have a name or whatever for my stuff.
I'm just gonna make what I like and not stress any kind of "branding" or whatever, putting unnecessary words and crap into my graphics. No point in "playing company".

and I use the light table for all sorts of tracing and "carbon transfer" needs.

That out of the way, FUCK YEAH PAUL
those are both really cool and funny boards. The first one kinda reminds me of when Heath had a board out way back when with a HeathBar underneath the shrinkwrap.

instead of a name you should just put a teeny tiny little sweater logo on every deck you make. something simple like this:

That design would look good with a black or red background and metallic gold lines.

As far as coloring, something like these would be sick as fuck...

I cut three cruisers out earlier this week. I have sketches for the graphics. I'm waiting on paint and a little bit warmer weather to spray outside.

looks like it turned out pretty good to me.
[close]

Yeah, I also think that it turned great.
Maybe it's slightly different from what you expected or had in your mind but I think it's pretty, pretty good.
Congrats!

Have you tried this again?  I think it would be cool to extend the grid of photos to the whole board.  Just let them bleed off the edges when they get to the nose and tail.
