These options aren’t good

They are not. But they're all we have.

Until the US develops a third MAJOR party which will force cooperation and compromise within the parties, we're always going to be relinquished to the better of the worst.

Got a bit of bushing madness:

Thunder 90a - Too soft
Thunder 92a - Still too soft
Thunder 94a - too hard
Bones Hards - responsive, but too hard still

I've given up on conical style bushings for now, and want to try Independent barrel bushings. I'm pretty sure I read on here that they fit Thunders. Any recommendation on either the 90 or 92? I think the 94s are out of the question. Just want more stability.

nah.
respectfully. nah.

skate the 94a bushings, just break them in. there’s a lot of ways to speed this up, you could sand them down just a touch, and/or compulsively rock back and forth whilst tightening and loosening the kingpin nut, to try and break things in faster.
my experience has been, again and again, that the stock bushings are the stock bushings, for reasons.

or summon our bushing champion, @Xen, and he might be able to get you squared away

I've always used stock bushings for this reason but I was getting desperate ha

Anyway thank you and @Xen too. I'm gonna try breaking these in some more and if that doesn't work I'll try the other suggestions.

I just got some of the black/gum 440 V2 and after the first session here are my thoughts:

- These things are comfy and cushiony
- Fit nice for wider feet
- Nice flick for a cup
- I like the new N

overall for my first pair of new balance im highly impressed, and 85 dollars which is great

I like these insoles but I usually run FP, anyone have recommendations on which model insole they use? I have some orthotic kingfoam elites but those are a little big/tall for these ones.

Thanks for this. Really looking forward to the 440v2 as the original 440 is one of my favorite shoes ever. How would you compare boardfeel between v1 and v2? Or is there a difference at all? I love the original's feel.

Well I never actually skated the v1, only tried them on. So i can't help you there. I've tried on the V1 and these do feel a very small amount of more padding.

Travel Guide / Re: Skatebag thats good for carry on

I have a Nixon Hauler backpack that I love. I pack pretty light but can usually fit a week of clothes, toiletries, and skate gear in it. It has straps for a board and fits in the standard TSA carryon dimensions. I always put my trucks in my bag and just strap the deck. I’ve never had an issue, but I always travel with an old deck so that I don’t care if I have to leave it behind

Second Nixon backpack.  I've carried on with full board with trucks and wheels on many times and no issues.  They just check the bag size and the skateboard is attached. Obviously you can't hit people with it, etc.
