.

I just went looking for something else and saw a new video on Generator instagram.

Thought some of you might like to see it.

This is about the board - yellow top - in the post at the top of the last page.  * Posted again below too seeing as this is on a new page now.

I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

Look like the Loveseat Plus is finally hitting the shelves. Loveseat with a 14 1/4" WB instead of 13 7/8"

Pretty ideal.

loveseat tapers to 8.5 in the back right? too skinny for my taste
great idea but i hope they give the same treatment to the couch

Yup, we need a Couch Plus. That would my board of choice. I still love the original shape.

Anyone ever skated this Eggball shape from Imperfects? Says it’s a twin, 8.75 in. wide w/ 14.5 in. wheelbase. I’ve always liked this graphic, and the dims, shape, and stains have piqued my interest in grabbing one for a future setup. I don’t think I’ve skated a deck made at Watson since the late 90s, either. How are they?

I am sure I have seen a few on here.

@GBLange might have had some...

From using the search on "eggball" nothing really came up to note, but "imperfects" brought up a few boards, as per links below:

finally got around to setting up the Curb Killer 2. i've had the first one too, allways had trouble with how short the tail is on these. but i think figurd it out. i took off my risers now and it feels normal. besides the super easy wheelbite that is.

i got a curb killer 4 next. so that will solve the tail issue for good i guess.

Don’t know if old news, or if it’s bad manner posting stuff from “YouTube” skaters -
But nonetheless Dale Decker and his friend had a party with Eggzilla. Looks fun as hell. Surprised it doesn’t really have kicks.

Im too dumb to figure out how to make this drawing my profile pic.

I liked my Couch and I thought this was gonna be perfect but that tail is too crazy for a normal wheelbase.

That board looks fun as hell. I saw a clip where dude did a sweeper to like “egg roll” it was super sick. The type of thing you could only do with a weird shape.

I've never skated a shaped board but the egg does seem intriguing. Just curious, what difference do actually see between these egg or other shaped boards and the traditional popsicle shape? Are flips tricks easier? Do you prefer them for slappys or transition? I always assumed the difference was purely aesthetic so curious if it actually makes for better skating

I think eggs make a wide board more flippable. So they feel as comfortable on flat as they might in a pool. You have a good amount of real estate in the middle of the deck making you feel secure on transition but the taper helps flips and responsiveness...

Just my a personal theory. Of course egg shapes now vary wildly in shape and dimensions.

My favorite egg shape is the Huffer but that has its own secret sauce... A big WB and wide out the back truck but still a deck I can do my best flip tricks on.... And the tail while tapered still have a nice amount of area for tail blocks and other snazzy tricks I like to attempt. Finally it has a pointyish nose which helps with shallow end slashing and jersey barrier knifing.

Its all in my head and yours... what looks good beneath thy feet?

Im on the qausi egg, best board I ridden. The nose and tail are different which I like, it's just super comfortable and doesn't change how you skate, flip tricks are a lil slower but flip trips are wack anyway and I don't even skate anymore, but I will sometime maybe. Small wheels too. Noseslides on deck waddup we on eggs

Not sure about the 8.8", but the 9" is 8.5 over trucks and the 8.75" is 8.38 over trucks. Those are both symmetrical eggs, but I'd imagine the 8.8" is somewhere in the middle.

I have Ace 44 Classics on my symmetrical 8.8 and over the trucks the deck is maybe a mm or two wider than the axles. Not to induce any madness in you, but I'd say the type of wheels you're going to rock is also going to impact which trucks would be best. I run conicals on this setup, so the wheels and the deck are perfectly aligned. If you go for a slimmer shape, you can probably get level alignment with 8.5 axles. And of course it's all up to preference in the end anyway.

I actually run 44’s with a conical on my daily driver so I might not even need new trucks. Might give it a shot. Thanks

Yeah for sure, with a subtle sense of humor and says what he thinks. I loved hearing about the random creative processes he goes through on graphics and shapes.
