Krooked Cromer 8.13 Lil Snuff
Indy 139 standards
Spitfire bighead 48s
Bones Swiss bearings
Shorty's 7/8" allen
Jessup (see an air bubble)

Most importantly, my 1988 Cardinals Willie McGee sticker]
This is by far my favorite setup I have seen on here. I wish I got this instead of my Brady egg.  :-\

I’m feeling sort of bummed on by Brady football too.
Well I have like 9 Andy Anderson dated flight decks.

I like the shape, I just wish it was narrower. It definitely skates like a bigger board.

I feel like it skates like an 8.5 which I’m not crazy about, but I’m just not enjoying the tail at all and it’s fucking up some of my tricks

I agree on both of those things, I was hoping it would flip like a 8.3 or less popsicle. I had indy 149s on it but I swapped them out for 5.6 Ventures hoping for a better flip. Another thing I remember eggs usually are great for 3 flips, and they have not been good for me on this board.

I agree 100%
I haven’t landed a single 360 flip or backside flip on this shape. Safe to say I won’t be buying shape again. I really wanted the shape but I hate wheel wells, turns out the wheel wells were the most tolerable aspect of the fucking deck.

Too funny, I feel the exact same way about wheel wells too. If I can get my hands on the Heroin soft egg this week, my Brady is going to a kid at the park before its demise

My review so far (AKA: 1 session) on the 8.38 Cromer lil snuff:
-Fun board, nostalgia is everything I hoped it would be
-Extremely fun for cruising (I think the 48 Spitfires helped?)
-Have not got to try noseslides on it yet (security guard was cock blocking my secret ledges)
-Flippage was pretty good. Have not tried 360 flips on it yet.

Love the shape. Always loved these shapes! I have an irrational "fear" that I will start enjoying these so much, then DLX will stop making it. Almost like I don't want to get used to it so much that going back to a popsicle sucks. BUT if they continue to make this shape (said earlier, I prefer a smaller egg), I could see riding this into the sunset.

I've been forcing myself to have a quiver and skate a popsicle as well based (more or less) on the same irrational feelings. It sucks.

Well, finally set up my Heroin Fried Egg. I was super stoked on this thing when I bought it almost 6 months ago, then had surgery and couldn't skate for 4.5 months, have been back at it and broken a few boards, and decided it was time. Contrary to everyone else in this thread, I was not all that stoked once I set it up. I stood on it, it felt weird. I rolled around on it, it was nice. Went to pop the tail, and it's a bit shorter than what I've been skating, and felt super sketchy at first. That was the five minute impression, as I was done skating for the day when my last board snapped. Took it out yesterday for session one and to see if I would actually be able to handle it.

Verdict: It's pretty dope.

I don't think I'm going to swear off of popsicles forever as a result, but I won't shy away from eggs moving forward either, which I think could be a good thing for me. I've gotten really, really set in my ways in regards to setups, and this forces me to rethink that. It reminds me of my old New School Mike Chu I had back in 1993 (it's probably nothing like that, but looking back 27 years later (holy shit), it makes me feel like that same little kid again. Only I can do more than two tricks on it now. Kickflips were pretty hit or miss for me yesterday, but treflips were pretty sweet once I figured out where to adjust my foot placement on the different shaped board. It's fun to skate, it feels a little like a surfboard, but it's pretty rad. Overall, the egg was a solid choice to skate for awhile.

Heroin Fried Egg 8.9"
Thunder 151s
Ricta 54mm Whirlwinds (usually a Spitfire guy, but wanted to give these a try, I don't regret it. Although when these go I'll be on another set of Spitfire F4s.)
Bones Swiss (because they're the best)

Good to hear. Think I'm gonna try that. Wheel base is closer to what I've been riding lately

I think Villani runs 151s on his setup, but it's 1/4" difference in axle length. I think you're good to run the 149s on there without issue.

I rode my loveseat with Indy 149s, Ace 44s, and Ace 55s. They all worked but with the taper the 149s were the best fit. Makes me want another one.

Thats some sex talk. I like it. Actually ended up scooping up a Blind Rear-End Rudy deck. Gonna throw the 149's on it and give it a rip.

For sure will post pics....

probably would have preferred something different but  everything is pretty limited on what is available right now for egg shaped boards, especially if you are picky on size and wheel base. The skate gods need to pump our some inventory

Hey, thanks for all the love for the Heroin Egg boards.
I did a little recap on the Egg boards we've made and posted it on the Heroin site.

Great read @darkthrone Do you think we might ever see another 8.5 egg? Either way, keep up the great work young fella!

i would say the soft boiled 8.7 shape is better than the og 8.5 shape, slightly more "normal" wheel base.

funny, i guess i'm not the only one worrying if eggs will just be a passing fad too. hoping they stick around.

i can't ollie them or do flip tricks as high, sometimes even a little rocket, but it makes a flatground or little curb sesh soo much more fun or inspiring or whatever.

I received my Space Egg (9.4) today and I was a bit disappointed with two factors:  I didn’t realize it was going to be razortop, and it’s a bit shorter than I expected.
I love the big egg 9.1 shape and have ridden a few of those, so i was excited to try a slightly bigger one at 9.4.  However, with the razortop I’m worried it will feel even wider.  Then add on top of that it seems shorter.
But who knows.  Perhaps I shouldn’t count (out) this egg before it’s hatched (skated).

How long is it? Just got a golden razor egg from my local. I stood on it and my (last ungripped) 9.18 cards and it didn't feel wider underfoot if that's any consolation.

Catalog lists it as 32.125
I stood it up to a big egg 9.1 that I’ve had on ice and the space egg is about 1/4” shorter.  When I stand it up against a wknd Jordan Taylor 8.6 that i have, it’s the exact same, but I can’t find a length for that one listed online.  And then it’s about 3/4” shorter than a Girl Brophy 8.6x32.25, but that’s a different woodshop altogether so I’m not gonna try to draw any conclusions from that.
I’m guessing it’s coming in anywhere from 31.8-32.0.

My space egg is measuring at 32.09 give or take. It’s in between the 32 1/16th and 32 1/8th mark. 14.4ish wheelbase. I’m enjoying the razortop construction on my street baller.

finly got some tricks on lil snuff. Considering how bone dry these benches were, I got some decent noseslides in. Could not lock in tailslides but I haven't really got to skate 9 months of this year so chalking that up to rust
