That makes me want a grimple egg so badly.

I’ve dreamed of skating the kelch twister.

Want it so badly I can fucking taste it.
Well I have like 9 Andy Anderson dated flight decks.

It is a good board, though definitely the flattest DLX I've ever seen in my life. I don't remember what the Roman numeral was, but it is South Central e-mold flat. Could just be where it sat in the press but I am into it.

14.38" wheelbase. Nose and tail are actually closer to your measurements... The stamp, graphics and sticker have alll thrown me off as to what's supposed to be tail/ nose... I think its intentional haha. I'm just assuming the tail is shorter and more pulled in like always. What also threw me off was I have been riding the Cardiel football/ egg and that is wider in the tail and narrower up front...
[close]

Oh, for sure. When I started skating the Grimple egg the fact that the taper is towards the back played tricks on my mind for the same reason.
[close]

hey speaking of the grimple egg, i had read somehwere it's pretty close to (if not the same) board as the kelch twister deck? anyone have both or can help confirm? i get all sorts of different dimensions when i look up the kelch deck
[close]

Thy look very similar from the top pic, with the taper towards the back and the nose being a little more blunt than the tail.  That being said, never skated the Kelch.

Kelch Twister
Grimple Snips

that's wild to click between the two haha, thanks for confirming! need to track down a grimple

Me too. Mine got waterlogged when I got caught in a storm on my bike ride home from work.

I think there is a new wider Grimple Egg due out this summer (bigger WB also)

and more importantly,

This is very cool news.

I was able to grab the Bigger Egg last week (10”), I got a pair of 169s I may throw on there but will those be big enough? I may pick up some Ace AF1 77s if not.

where the heck did you find one? 169's with some wide wheels will work, especially if you put extra washers on the inside. 77's would be a perfect fit if you want to spend the money.

I may pick up the 77's just cuz I wanna try the AF1s and I currently have the 169s on my cruiser, thanks for the info!

Big egg fan checking in. I’ve been riding the Tired™️ board for a bit and I think by far it’s my favourite shape. The Joel boards are rad. It was so hard to find over here. I ended up getting it from a scooter/longboard shop a million miles away. Stoked I found it. I was riding it with 44mm boardys cakes but I’ve taken them off. I found that the 48mm spitfires are perfect. The Indy’s in the pic are from 99? and if you blow on the axel they move ha.

The mini egg is so good. Only skated it once. Can’t wait to set up the Cromer also.

Isn't the Girl "phawt" shape the exact same?  I thought they made it for Cory because he kept skating those cardiel boards.

They’re very similar, and too my knowledge they did make it for Cory for this reason.

Here’s the dimensions of the two:

Phawt:
Width: 9.125
Length: 32.625
Wheelbase: 14.75

cardiel huffer:
Width: 9.18
Length: 32.62
Wheelbase: 14.82

If you hold them up together they're exactly the same, at least that was the case when I had one of each. DLX likes to put wacky numbers so that those of us with OCD will bug out.

The Phawt is good. People have a thing against the Craig wood because it used to suck, but now it is pretty nice.

I concur. Basically the same dims with different wood. I measure the Huffer shape at a 14.74 wheelbase also...

And its out again!

I’d probably prefer the phawt these days, I like the latest Craig wood.

I had two of those Cardiel huffers. Shape was really fun. It’s a beast tho. Unbreakable. Bbs back then was better than it is now imo.
Anyways finding the right trucks always trips me out, I tried it with 159s, 169s, 151 hollow lights. Maybe liked it best with the thunders....

55 Classics, no washers inside. 44 classics are just too small on that one, I tried it once and even as a fan of the magic carpet it looked insane.

Yeah, the Cardiel Huffer shape really needs an 8.75" truck. Classics 55s work well enough. AF1 55s with wide wheels could work but might be pushing it.
