I've been skating the enjoi deedz 8.38 with 33aces and I like it a lot.

My question to you is what other options do I have in the smaller egg shapes? I think the deedz one tapers quite a lot like 8'' by the trucks. My dream size with 8'' trucks is somewhere between 8.25-.38 by the trucks.. So I could go a bit bigger on the deck size. Also only sub 32" decks..

probably this

speaking of this, anyone have one and have some experience they'd like to share?

I just got a 10" egg with Razortop and I'm really digging it.  I don't think I would like it on a smaller board but its great with big shapes because you always know where the edge of your board is

hoping to get the 10" egg.trying my luck online next monday. if not, then i'd hv to check with the skateshop in Thailand. that's where i got both of the symmetrical egg and they DHL it to Malaysia.

I've been considering picking up one of the imperfects eggs. Any of you ridden the 8.75?

i have one and while i don't have a ton of miles or super interesting things done on it - it's fun, feels solid/sturdy -  like some others have mentioned. my only very small complaint is that the kicks are steeper than i'd prefer but it's nothing i'd call 'too steep'. i'd buy another when this one runs out of steam. hth

Those imperfects decks look really nice, but perusing their “workwear” offerings kinda put me of supporting them.

I got the Deedz 8.375 football shape because I had an extra pair of Ace 33s as mentioned earlier, and I’m not liking this combo, magic carpet ride with classic Spits. I kept slipping out of grinds alot. I’ve been riding Ace 44s with 3 washers on the inside on 8.5 FA so it might have been just that as well. The deck itself felt easier to manuever due to the size and shape.
take what small comfort there may be left
seize what you love and damn all the rest

i don't have a 100% official word but i'm going with this post -

imperfects - symmetrical/twin tail
8.75 x 31.75 - 14.5 WB - 8.25 wide at axles. 6.75 tail/nose
found a use for the indy 144 mids
spitfire 80 chargers (down to about 50mm) bones super reds
rolled around in front of the house, low and stable
only thing not stock are the bushings, threw in krux 92a barrels. felt a bit stiff, not sure if was the fact it's sub 30 degrees out. may put the stock indy 90a back in.
this board will be a curb/manny pad/cruiser
[close]

Looks sick, what do you think? How much does it taper to around the bolts, and then how wide is it halfway between the bolts and the tip of the nose/tail? Also any idea what woodshop they use?
[close]

thanks! it's 8.25 wide at axles. lined up the bolt holes with the tail end of an antihero eagle 8.06. same taper/shape.
website says 'All of our skates are pressed and designed right here in San Diego by the most legendary skate factory in the world.' assuming that's Watson.

Is there a good egg that goes down to about 8" at the axles? Looking to get the most out of these 139s, but like a little more real estate on the board

Edit: I'm an idiot. Top of the page has one

Good call.  Getting sick of missing stuff because I’m not tied to a screen all day. I was kinda pumped for a minute when I happened to check yesterday 8 minutes after they went on sale.

Any leads on a semi-symmetrical, non-pointy egg; 9-9.5? 14.25-.5 WB

Def looks too pointy, but thanks for trying!

That heroin mutant egg looks sick from the bottom, but I bet from the top probably too pointy like so many others.

Isn’t non-pointy egg an oxymoron?
Maybe the craig couch shape?
I dunno, pointy nose kinda defines the egg shape…

Posted this in setups but thought Id post it here
8.75 frog
5.8 ventures

Big fan of the slimmer egg a 9 inch egg scares me
This guys a lot of fun for flip tricks feels like an 8.5 not so fun on transition or doing nose and tail slides, would definitely cop another 8.75 egg hopefully heroin puts out more soft boiled eggs

Nose isn’t offensive, and a good possibility. But I will say I do prefer a stubbier tail (nose too, actually), a la my Strangelove I was skating due to circumstance recently [(had been relegated to cruiser) why can’t I get the full image without yallz having to click and go to the imgbb site?!]

I guess I’m thinking football is pointier, and eggs taper less quickly
Both are in this thread, but I’m being difficult as per usual

I think this may be what you're looking for, the Baker "impact stripe" deck from a few years ago.  I had it and loved it, but it only lasted one or two seasons and they haven't made it again since.  Huge bummer because it was one of my favorite decks in recent years.  It was a pretty big one at 9.25 x 32.5 i believe

If Baker brought this back, it's pretty much all I'd skate. I have the Deathwish version that I will occasionally pull out of the stack and re-skate because I love the shape so much.

riding heroin mutant egg 9.6"x 32" 14.5"wb egg shape deck. loving it as an all around setup. i usually ride a 8" deck with a 14" wb for street. so timing is a little off but the egg shape helps the board spin around a little easier.

for those who keep asking/looking for an 8.25 egg, here's a close one at 8.125.  Straddles the egg/football/popsicle borderline.
