"it was crazy to see this level of skating in a FREE promo vid back then" - I mean, not really! mid/late 00s was rife with free promo DVDs...Roll Forever/Life & Times, Bueno wizards, IPath Summer promo... I remember watching It's Time only once because I thought it was pretty weak in comparison to everything else that was available for the same price.
Yeah idk what the hell he's talking about. He's delusional or just quite uninformed.
Roll Forever I got with a board I think. The Brent Atchley pro vid + extras DVD was a freebie with a mag or board. iPath was a mag or skateshop freebie.
Yes, it was a cool thing getting a new dvd "free" often with a magazine at the time but it wasn't exactly uncommon.
At least here it wasn't- Sidewalk UK mag were including plenty of DVDs FREQUENTLY, starting with Subject to Change in 2003- three years before they gave It's Time 2006 with an issue on release.
DVS Dudes Dudes Dudes was another in 2008, got a Logic video, a Puzzle Mag video, Rock Adio, a fuckin' double feature of Shorty's How to Go Pro + Landscape's Portraits lol - odd combo on one disc, Strongest of The Strange 2005, Girl- Hittin' Britain + oui will rock you. And that's just he ones I can think of from Sidewalk alone.
Meanwhile....well .....years later and not totally related... I had to pay about $40 for the Zero DVD boxset to get a copy of "PROMO [2006]". Well that and to replace my long stolen Misled Youth VHS. Have you tried buying a VHS player in 2025? I haven't.
But yes, Sierra Fellers is ridiculously good.
