Dropping the knee enables him to ride out of almost anything. Wheel bite from landing something big or fast, crazy cobblestone ground, cracks etc. I've always noticed that about his knee and payed attention to how he squirrels out of crazy stuff and rolls away. It's like he has a suspension or something and it keeps him low to the ground.
