If you look way down almost to the sidewalk at that part of the curb beside the yellow pole you'll find this.

Also, and yes I know this is TECHNICALLY not a curb but I just got a new job and this is like half a block down the street from it.

You don’t think the missus would appreciate standing around in a parking lot? Make it a family function
;D
This thread is pretty much porn to me. I haven't skated a curb in a decade because that technology doesn't exist where I live yet.

Back to the skatepark for the curb session, just as it was in the beginning, when Neil, Lance, Jeff & John first set this slippery action in motion.
As in the past, so too today.
There’s a certain low grade, poetic beauty to it, actually.

Two options. Get into a normal slappy and lean back or treat or like a 5-0 on transition which is how I do them but arguably slightly cheating. Slightly loft front wheels up before they hit the curb then get super light as your back wheels hit so they pop up into the grind. Like an exaggerated version of going into 5-0 on sticky out coping. ( if that makes sense?!)

I treat them like a tranny 5-0 as well...I can't find another way to trick my body into doing it differently.  I mean, I tend to use wallride techniques on taller curbs.

Fun curb spot at my local

I wish I had a local with shit like this near me, put far too much effort into a statue curb skated it for like 4 years and the council just jet washed all the wax off of it

That’s always painful. Friend of mine rub bricked, painted, lacquered, and waxed 4 meters of curb only to have everything completely gone in a week. It was as if nothing had ever happened to the curb, no paint or anything left on.

It is. I’m jealous of you slappies. Been hitting it for at least 4 years and hasn’t even started to wear down. Other school curb I posted in less than a year was rounded and chunked to hell.
@gabbesucks it’s not that tall. Only about 7 1/2 or 8”.

New curb, 2 blocks from my house. Trying to keep this one on the DL because my last curb spot got pretty blown out and shut down... Someone else is skating it but hopefully like me, quit hits so as not to annoy the neighbors... hopefully Dane Brady doesn't find it.

Some nice curbs in this thread. When I was Living in Socal seemed like there were perfect painted curbs everywhere. In the chicago suburbs not so much.

I skate this curb pretty much every day on my lunch break. I see a bunch of sketchy stuff go down there all the time, but it is super close to work and the people who bricked and lacquered it did a great job.

Is that one that was already there or is that a pour and plant? Either way that looks rad!
