This comparison seems a little more apt.
Fully Flared is a smorgasbord of great skating and has a great lineup but it's bloated as hell. There's too much slow-mo, a TON of filler (almost everyone with a multi-song part could have been contained to a single song), way too many China spots, lots of semi-defunct ledge combos, and two Band of Horses songs. Sans AO, Carroll, and Koston's parts (maybe a few others), it hasn't aged well. A decade on, Mind Field still endures. Alien Workshop had a more diverse lineup at the time, with plenty of people who would go on to become legends. The music and editing is much more palatable, and Fully Flared doesn't have a single part as great and - dare I say it? - as influential as Jake Johnson's part.
Mind Field wins again.
