Not to be a debbie downer but i sse him commenting on Insta last night, they didn't hold him long, probably somewhat innocent, couldn't see him doing the actual stealing of the car
Getting out of jail isn't the same as having the charges dropped (which doesn't always mean innocent either). The police had probable cause to arrest him, so they arrested him. I'd bet he is probably out on bail, which has nothing to do with guilty or innocent, it has everything to do with the likelihood of the suspect fleeing, his risk to the community, and the severity of the crime.
Finally, an angry former-pro/(former?) drug-addict w/no education who knows his way around automobiles seems like the perfect candidate to get himself into a situation where stealing a car sounds like a good idea. I can't really think of any former pro more likely to steal a car.
