All I want is a shaped board with a 8.3 width at the widest, a slight 90's football shape, a 14 or 14.25 wheelbase, and not a terrible graphic.  Is that too much to ask for? Can anyone help me out?!

Just sand the whole thing with the cut off bits and your board will feel weeks old instantly.

I've recently started doing this and it does make brand new MOB feel a bit more workable

As a jessup lifer, I’ve gone with MOB M80 a couple times with my last few boards and really like it. Pretty similar grit to jessup just easier to apply & the edges don’t get messed up as much. A lot of times it comes with a MOB cutout at the tail but I’ve been able to get some without it if I ask at the shop

Been on m-80 probably 90% of the time but switched to OG mob when I was wearing adidias and DC (shoes with the white soles) as those shoes suck for grip. Currently on OG mob and vans, so nice!

I gripped a deck a few weeks ago with MOB and it felt bad, like used jessup.

I recently tried some of the all black M80. It was way thinner than I remember the die-cut being. Thinner, lighter, just as grippy and my bolts didn’t dig into the grip and spiral like they sometimes do. I probably won’t skate anything else going forward.

I could no longer stand riding the Snack board, as much as I wanted to like it, the tail was too fucking long (also I threw it cuz I landed primo on my bad ankle and it kinda started delaminating) so I'm back to my old 8.375 Polar. I took the rails out and filled the holes with shoe goo.

Side note: I balanced it on the back of my chair from my bed since it's lofted and I'm too lazy to leave it.

I saw your mom do a ollie to cooch drop straight down the big black pole, it was gnarly. she defiantly shut that shit down

hot the fuck out of:
-my unused left shoe (my ankle broke long ago and it doesn't bend that way so great anymore)
-my board choice (dirt cheap [im guessing china wood] for like $30) 8.25 G27
-my bum sticker job
-my crooked rails

I came up to my local park one time and those reynolds (size 13) were laying in the middle, totally unskated.
I ride size 12 and i'm poor, so i took em home for the old 'purell and delousing.' i have to hike them up before i throw my board down, but they have worked without me rolling my ankle, which is usually what happens to me when sporting the oversized chooz.

I also keep a skate Man-purse that has:
1) lighter w/stuff you usually use a lighter with (still on the lookout for that limited edition shorty's skate tool)
2) wax
3) sandpaper
4) mini paint scraper
5) 2 skate tools w/tricked out ratchet action for speedy setup
6) leatherman for my bolts I stand by phillips/allen any day.

I may have bad taste, but I dare you to out-skate-nerd me.

As a fellow nerd, I can tell just by looking that those rails are too close to the edge to be functional for slides.

Looks fine to me..

unless the board has some super steep concave, anything 1/2" off the sides works fine

Ran that same exact chocolate 2 times in a row. I love that shape, actually just ordered another Eldrigde chocolate deck the other day.  It's a comfortable 8.25 with a nice little 14" wheelbase making flip tricks a breeze.  Also it's only 31.625" long so it doesn't feel too awkward witht the small wheelbase.  Would skate that shape for the rest of my life if I could.

Snack boards from South Central had big tails and noses. Not sure how/if they've changed shapes since they went to PS Stix.

I purchased it right around the time of the woodshop change news, the lower than low price that I paid makes me believe it is older stock aka the same old stuff. I don't mind their boards, the tails do tend to turn to razors very quickly (compared to Chapman) but I've heard that isn't the case with the newer wood. My wallet tells me who to support when it comes to this hardgood game, I got no loyalty, sadly, but it boardslides great and didn't break yet. So all systems go.

The rails do seem wide, actually are wide. However, that particular shape does have a pretty mellow concave so should be fine. But again yes the rails being set that wide look really off to me.
