Thanks to capitalism and black Friday this complete only cost me $77. Haven't skated it yet but I'm super hyped on it. I think this is going to be my perfect shape.

Polar Halberg 8.5

Mini Logo A-Cut 51mm wheels 101a
Mini Logo bearings

Mini logo wheels are kakapoo in my opinion but nice setup.

I found a bunch of old parts in my garage and decided to set up a little beer run pusher.

Deck: Planet Earth 7.5" wheelbase 13" --- I've had this deck since '99 I believe, original graphic was spray painted over but I remember there was a PE rider's face on it, can't remember who though.

Trucks: Destructo's with bones mediums, I had to replace the stock bushings, they're so awful and have no idea what turning even is. Now they somewhat turn with the bones.

Wheels: Powell g-slides 85a, honestly these wheels ride like garbage, I'd rather have 85A ratbones.

bones reds.

It's pretty fun, surprisingly this 18 year old deck still has it's pop, good wood.

I had a question for you dudes who have skated risers, I have some 1/8 risers and was wondering would 1inch hardware would be long enough when setting them up with Indys?

Cool black Indy hardware that wear away and show the cross in silver until it all wears down.

Nallid's right that 1" work fine but I'd suggest 11/8" if you have extra cash/time to waste.  This is getting into skate gear ocd territory but in my experience the 1" bolts tend to fall off easier(I skate indy's with 1/8" risers).  I'm fully aware of how stupid this sounds.
All you got is today, get out and skate.

I had 1 inch hardware laying around & was just wondering if it would suffice until I was able to get some longer hardware, but I'll for sure pick up that 1 1/8" length next chance I get.

I have a few bolts that are 1 inch on my cruiser which has 1/4" risers. I always use 1/8" risers on my normal board and I only ever use 1 inch bolts for that. I wouldn't worry about getting new bolts at all unless your bolts are very worn out or you notice they start to fall out frequently.

Yeah they're kinda worn but I just mounted everything and it seems to be tight enough gonna skate around tomorrow, see how they hold up and then see where I go from there. Appreciate the help fellas

Wknd 8.25 x 31.6 (I'm pretty sure)
Ventures
Oj Insanathane EZ Edge 52mm
Bronson gsomething
Modus risers & hardware

This board is a bit too short for me but as someone who is a fan of really square nose/tails I had to grab it.
8.25 x 32 x 14.25 in this shape would be a dream

Also, fuck Slap for making me nerd out on all this stuff. It used to be really easy for me to buy decks. Had to go to three bloody shops to find a shape I liked!

Welcome 8.3 something
8 inch Thunders
51 mm Chocolate wheels

feels much better

Polar 8.375x32
Indy 149s
F4 Lock-ins 55mm
random bearings and hardware
slip-on pros

Nose and tail are really different from what i'm used to (quasi), I hope it's not gonna take too much getting used to though. I'm also really excited to try out these lock-ins.

1 1/8 hardware beyond shorty's may be tough to find, I think Thunder makes it too?
I just know when I place orders for the shop I almost never see that size from any brand.
Also if you have forged base trucks(hollows) 1 inch is plenty.
The thickness of your board and how much you tighten your hardware down matters too.
Shop guy nerd session over.
Sorry.

right? I've been eyeing up boards for nearly a month now but can't pull the trigger because I'm worried about 1/4 inch here and there. Good call on the wknd though, I'm all about square noses too so them and quasi are defs on on my list (amongst like 6 other boards that I've scrawled down in some mad scientist comparison chart in my diary)

are Quasi 8.5's really only 8.25's liked was discussed on here a while back?

Ojs are garbage and Ventures are the best trucks on earth. My point was you haven't been that ruined by slap if you're mixing distro components so willy nilly.

I got a couple sets from Bender(http://benderhardware.bigcartel.com/product/1-1-8-allen-head) a few months ago but he's been sold out for awhile. I agree with everyone that it's not necessary I was just sharing my personal preference/experience riding a similar setup.  Didn't intend to overcomplicate things and I apologize for that.
All you got is today, get out and skate.

yeah thats what i read online, also one of them 9x33.25's is most likely is gonna be my next board, i was just wondering if some random company i dont know about is making like a 33.5 or something like that.

speak of the devil, two things: one wow $64, and two that pirate ltd 10.375x33.75 board looks fucking good mate. also this is the one benefit of being hooked up from skating that i think would be cool, i could get like a 9.125 x 33.75 damn near 16"wb symmetrical popsicle shape board made just from asking asking about it, but anyway thanks for that SJ im gonna go look at socal's backlog of boards on there now.
