White bolts are definitely worse than silver ones -1

BA 9.25 14.38 WB stamped IV
Venture 6.1s
F4 conical 99s 52mm
Mixed bearings
Bronze hardware
Jessup grip
Jordan 1s
Ventures feel a lot like 55s one session in, they turn super quick and feel great so far. If the bushings harden a little once broken in I might not have to adjust them at all.

I love those Lance Mountain decks. I've got one of the Kanfoush 8.28 on the way.

Ventures get a bad rap for "not turning" but really I think that it's just that they turn differently than really any other truck. The main issue that I've seen with the stock bushings is that they sometimes split down the side just during normal use. Indy 92a are a good replacement or if you want something a bit harder I use tracker hard superball.
they will harden up a bit . I have the 6.1’s & haven’t touched them one bit . I have them on a deck i just take for the park and the last time i did i was all oh man they tightened up and they are perfect .

Ya venture has my favorite stock bushings besides maybe the new Chinese indy ones. The only reason I changed them was one of them split down the side within a week and there was someone else in the truck setup thread that had the same thing happen.

The indy 92 is pretty close to the way my old venture stockies (which did harden as they broke in) feel, but I switched to the tracker hard because I had 5.2 lo on a real low-pro deck and I was getting wheel bite on deep turns with 52mm conicals.

Treated myself to a new setup. Plus, I wanted to try the new wood.

Brujaria DB Cooper
Ace 55s
Acid 54mm
Swiss
Accel Slims

What’s the new wood? The old was clutch right? How is it so far? The  brujaria I had was pretty damn solid.

Thanks @Shufflessss . New deck is fantastic.  Love me some South Central wood.  Now I just need to down size the huge 56 spits before I break my old ankles.

in the olden days, i'd wipe off Screenprinted graphics with lacquer thinner, takes like 2 mins. idk what it does to heat transfers.

Definitely did not need this board and feeling kind of guilty. Whatever, it feels good. Took my Cromer football out for the first time since I bought it yesterday and loved the shape but it was just too small and pointy. This is closer to the Blind reissues I’ve skated before.

Edit: sorry I just noticed how big the photos are on desktop.

home made wheel wells? how did you cut them, with an angle grinder?
the setup looks really nice!

also the BA is nice, i just think it is weird on that shape that the widest point is so far up between the front bolts. still a really nice shape and setup. does it feel narrower than other 9.25s?

Not sure about actual thinners, but I used to mix ink for a commercial screen printing place and we used just straight up acetone to remove ink from everything. It never fucked up the glue on the wood pieces we did (although I highly doubt they were made with Franklin Sk-8 glue like most decks) so maybe try nail polish remover for a less destructive solvent?

Yeah acetone evaporates so quickly it won’t harm your board. I do printing as well and we use citrus based solvents these days, lot more healthy to use😄

This and the polar 1991 are my favorite bigger shaped boards. Enough taper that I can flip it around, short enough that it’s fine for grinds and mannys, I love it. 6.1s work like a dream on it.

Took a potentially great setup and put Ventures on it. There's no way those are turning like 55's either, fuck outta here.

I'd tell myself skateboarding is fun too, after wasting my money on Ventures and trying not to focus on the fact that I'm gonna need new trucks if I wanna actually turn.
