For anyone interested I bought one of the Hammers Klein decks last week and finally arrived today. Wish I bought 2 since this is most likely gonna end up a wall hanger. The shape is really cool, fat upfront than tapers near the tail, the cutting into the plys and raised inks of it are really something. BBS did an amazing job on these, there's 5 colored plys! Only ever seen DSM do that before. Dimensions are 8.25 x 31.9 with a 13.75 wb.

I gotta say that graphic, shape, dimensions, and execution are dope.

Wait, since when does BBS do the divot and width engraving in between the mounting holes?

Is that new? I might have to retract my statements in another thread about my recent Zero deck pickups that I thought were Clutch  *thinking emoji*

First board I've seen where I'd consider hanging it to show the top graphic. So nice.

8.38 local shop deck
Thunder Tis 149s
All Ti nuts
Weird tri-wing Ti hardware
Rad slim F4s, legit this time  :)
Bones Swiss Six

I thought about purchasing the Real wooden riser pads for the east coast crust out here. Ultimately, decided to make my own with some carbon fiber I had laying around. 7 grams each. I'm 100% confident they won't help me skate better, but I need something to tinker around with, plus they were basically free.

@PuffinMuffin  how are the thunder modifications feeling?

Love to see people nerding out over the little details like this.

Where'd you scoop the Ti hardware? I'd get some if it wasn't too expensive. Currently just using $1.28 Home Depot hardware which is working out nice. Low profile and all silver bolts which I prefer.

I haven't skated the risers yet, still can't skate for three more weeks. But the rest of the setup feels great.  :) Swapped the bottom Thunder bushings out for Krux K4 bushings, as they're the exact same height. Tensor ATG bushings are on the top and sleeved washers on the bottom. The kingpin never hangs up, and the trucks snap back to center quickly.

Blind Tim Gavin everslick reissue 8.125” at its widest by 31.6” wb 14.2”, Venture 5.2 Highs, NFG teardrop 52mms, Bronson G3s, generic 1” allen hardware. My first football/egg shape, also my first everslick. The nose and tail are kinda throwing me off coming from popsicles, this shape is taking some getting used to but I like it so far. I sanded down some Ace stock bottom bushings to fit Ventures and with the stock Venture top bushings they turn super well, much better than how stock Ventures turn imo. First time trying Bronsons, as a Bones fanboy I’ve been talking shit on them since they came out so I thought I might as well form an honest opinion of them since they’ve stuck around this long and people seem to like them.

Op, you ok man? Being real here, you doin alright?

Skull Skates Dead Guys front, Vision Double Vision back,  26" wheelbase Street Luge
2x4
Janky handlebars from the dump
G&S Stage II trucks
Powell Rat Bones 60mm 90a worn to about 56
Mix of bearings (GMN and Swiss)
Scrap metal.

Found this beauty in the barn at my folks house.  We built these in the summer of '90 and would take them out on the biggest hills in town - sometimes getting to just over 40mph.

!!! This is awesome. 40mph? Have you ever gotten speed-wobbles, or are they eliminated because your center of gravity is so low and stable?

No speed wobbles. Low center of gravity, long wheelbase, and I think we tightened the trucks - there is very little need to turn.
