The shape is so much less square than I imagined. Are the kicks "dish-like" in feel?

I suppose you could say it’s dish like, yeah. My last board was a Hockey with the squared nose so this looks almost egg like to me by comparison because I’m not used to it yet. If anything it reminds me of an Anti Hero 8.38 eagle (the green one posted above) but a touch shorter.

The woodshop directory says BBS.  Not sure cause there are no stickers on it.  Feels thicker than BBS wood to me…. Interesting shapes - very pointy and flat.

Maybe with increased BBS prices, he has gone with someone else for the smaller runs, but who knows.

Wouldn't be uncommon in the last couple of years to give some other woodshop a go, as quite a few people / brands have done recently.

Rad board too!

Does the Anti-Hero taper? Or is it 8.5 all the way through?

SkateOne gave me a 40% off coupon when they decided that the fiberglass delam on the 9.05 deck wasn't a default. I ended up picking up another Flight Deck, just to see if it was a freak accident. I went with the 192 shape @ 9.265 with a 14.75 wb. Even though this is a shaped deck, it barely feels like it. The deck feels more like a modified popsicle with a square tail and pointed nose. It fits a bit better over the Indy 169s I have.

The tail feels a little short and I'm having to run a harder bushing that I usually do to take the speed wobble out compared to a 15-16wb.

Technically yes, I mean more like it’s not an egged out round board nor does it have the old school coke bottle shape. It also has a functional nose kick.

You wouldn’t have to adjust much from riding a standard popsicle on this shape, whereas older shaped decks take a really different approach to ride.

It looks like standard bbs shape for me. Big ass tail and nose, i'm more into square-ish shapes tbh. Bbs wood is the best, but this standard shape doesn't do it for me. The problem for us brazillian is that we skate what we can have. There's not much choice...

I feel like the photo distorted the board shape a bit to look more pointy, cause the one I saw in person seemed way more like the usual 8.5 BBS shape, which most board brands use and is not at all blunt or pointy, but way more evenly rounded on both kicks.

Compared to say the DLX 8.5 x 32.2 with 14.38 wb, which has way more pointy kicks which that pic almost looks like, the other BBS 8.5 is in between that and the blunt or full shapes.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

What’s the shape of the nose like?
I had a 8“ Hopps from clutch I think and it was so pointy! Is it still that way with the bbs ones?

Still  interested in the shape

This is the set up that cured my madness.
It’s been a long and stressful process with a lot of money spent but I finally find myself back to where i started in the first place

Limosine Cyrus Bennett 8.38
Venture hollows 5.8
Spitfire 53mm
Bones reds

I have a curb set up and a cruiser but this is the board I skate pretty much everything on and I absolutely love it, I am so excited to save money now haha

(I blame the set up thread for all my madness and all your photos of your different, amazing setups)

And now you are dealing pain. This and the sharp looking rave above, both with the 5.8s…look very nice.
When I’m not on slap, and fully engaged in my life, I’m pretty set on an 8 and whatever (ventures or thunders, but can truly make whatever work).
When I start reading everything on here and cranking out multiple poorly punctuated, barely understandable streams of nonsense, per day…well then I’m switching trucks, at the spot no less, and oscillating back n forth between setups with ace classic 55s, and venture lo’s. Just throwing it at a wall, whilst shot into a cannon

Hahah yeah I am definitely unintentionally dealing pain!
I think I just missed a time where I didn’t know what size trucks, wheels or deck I skated, I was always loyal to venture until the madness but I just skated whatever I could find and as long as I had a working skateboard I was happy, ignorance is bliss and I feel like I’m back to that feeling!

You will come out of the madness dude! There is light at the end of the tunnel!
