@tangar - NICE looking setup brother. I'm a fan of that graphic. Considered grabbing the 8' version. How are you digging the BBS shape?

@Art - YES! Put the Vase video on tonight and get stoked.  ;D

I'm digging it, I'm pretty sure it's identical to the polar Pontus Alv I had a while back. Seems like 14.5 wheelbase. Forgot the length but I think it was right under 32 as well. The thing I'm liking the most is the steeper concave compared to the quasi I was just on. That shape was fine but this reminds me of old steep AWS decks that I grew up on. The nose and tail arent as full as the PS shapes but aren't pointy at all.

Has anyone tried the Quasi 8.5x32.125 shape?  Curious if the nose and tail are similar to their 8.25 shape, just wider.

I've skated both and they have the same shape.  Super fat nose and slightly square-ish tail

Thanks, Steve.  I skated their 8.25 and 8.375 shapes and preferred the nose and tail of the 8.25.

Same here.  the 8.375 was way too pointy for me.  I only lasted one session on it

Super bummed they (or AWS) don't make that shape in 8.3, or any company for that matter.

Been awhile since I've skated an 8.5 but I couldn't resist when I saw the graphic.

The 8.375 AWS missing link I bought in spring was sort of pointy, I hated it. The Hockey 8.3s that I've seen seem to be pretty full in the nose and tail.

Anyone know if the new run of WKND boards run true to size? I'd really like to get away with an 8.38 but not if it sizes like my Mazzy deck

Still PS as far as I know so the sizes will likely be the same

Just don't buy those stupid 8.5's they make that taper and have the ridiculous steep nose and you're set. That shape sucks. It's less than 32 inches. I've been stuck with Quasi and Hockey boards in the same shape and was so disappointed.

You talking about the 8.5 x 31.5 PS shape? That shape is horrible. The nose and tail are too square for my liking, I've always hated squarish shaped boards, and the nose and tail are a little too wide too. I have a brand new WKND deck in that shape thats been sitting on standby and everytime I stand on it and look down it looks like I'm standing on top of a mini table. I can't stand it. Seriously considering selling it.

Maybe this is the wrong spot, if so, I apologize. I'm looking for a pointy(er)(esque)(ish) shape, that is less than 32" long. Width ideally between 8"-8.6". The more I 'know' about board dimensions that work for me, the less I know about board dimensions that work for me.

I'm on my second 8.5 Quasi right now and it is without a doubt the best shape for me. I love squared kicks and when i was looking at the shape i also noticed the taper, which I measured and goes down to 8.2 near the rear bolts. At first the shape really put me off but I set it up anyway and the taper makes it even better as it gives you the feeling you're skating an 8.2 but with the stability of an 8.5.

Yep. They also seem to have stepped the quality of their boards up. I've liked every National board I've skated. Jart used to be terrible.

Same. I skated a National 8.125 'mellow' concave and 8.25 'steep' concave and liked them both.
