Oh fuck yeah

I needed new bolts & found them on sale. Theyre kinda hard to find now so I figured i might as well snag em up. I appreciate the weight difference

A lot of the components in my setup are fairly expensive but i found em all on sale during the end of last year. I practically got the Swiss ceramics for free. Pretty stoked on that

I'm just about finished up with a set up that looks just like that. This board has lasted me forever for some reason. Never got soggy. Stayed stiff and poppy for the duration. Enjoy.

Damn, still can't get over how sick this looks. Really considering a 90's shaped board with "smaller" wheel (probably gonna stick with 52s) set up.
Nothing I do deserves more than an iphone camera.

Diggin em so far. Obviously the weight difference isn't gonna make or break anything but I like to try to trim the fat on my setup wherever I can and they do just that. Can't complain about 40% lower weight & titanium durablility. It'd be nice to have em for years like you, Just gotta Make sure I don't strip them like I did my last set

Flip 8.4

Indy 149 hollows w/ aftermarket Indy medium bushings

52mm formula four classics

Bones Swiss 6 balls

Diamond allen 7/8th bolts

Grizzly grip regular die cut

Vans Rowley Pro

So this is the first Flip I've ever had and I absolutely love the shape and hate it at the same time.

What I like: The nose is pretty big and round and the tail is pretty small and pointy. The concave is medium/flat. It has a very small 90s era football/egg shape.

What I dislike: It's longer than I'd prefer. This is minor because I prefer 32" decks and this is only 32.5. However the wheelbase. Now I've recently had a deck 14.75" wheel base and I really liked it. This one has a 15 inch wheelbase (all of Arto's decks seem to be 32.5 long with a 15" wheel base so I'm guessing that's what Arto likes. However he is super tall with big feet. I am neither.) This is the the longest wheelbase I've ever ridden.  The problem? This deck seems like I have to try a lot harder than usual to pop my tricks high.  Now I know that I knew the size before I got it but I still thought I'd like it.

Here are a bunch of pics to try and show the shape.

Here is the tail

Here is the nose

Thanks for all the pics and observations Jud. I've been thinking about buying his Side Mission - Vanuatu board for a while but the length and wheelbase scare me off every time I look at it.

Pretty sure most of his decks are 8.5x32.88.

Most of the ones I have seen lately are the 8.5 x 32.88 x 15. The 8.4 x 32.5 x 15 has been used for a few of them. The SM - Mustard deck is only 8.13 x 32 x 14.125.

Ishod 8.38 double tail
Thunder 147 highs with Bones mediums
Spitfire Formula 4 53mm 101a Radials
Bronson G3s

I was running some Aces and starting to dig them when that board and my Templeton reissue got stolen out of my car, so I just started running my old Ishod with the Thunders and got to liking them again. Kind of helps when you don't have the option to be a baby about it.

Yeah I set this up after cracking another polar skating flatground, and I never break boards. It still had a bunch of life left in it too. So hopefully have better luck with the longevity of this one. Wish the tail was ever so slightly longer. 6.5 tails bug me if I'm not used to them

That Matt Town board looks amazing.

The tail on that Arto board looks like an early 2000s tail since it gets so pointy/tiny.

Honestly, I've had like 3 super warped boards when I bought some of those ~20 dollar blvd decks on amazon and they were some of my favorite decks I've ever had.  I never notice a difference with a warped board, but that's just me.  Albeit that is pretty bad.  I'm sure you can get a replacement.

Unbelievable. Also, I've never seen a board that badly warped.

Zoo York Suski 8.125 from 2010. Does anyone know if they were using Chapman at this point? It feels like a Chapman board, heavy and tough.

I gave the Hopps board away because I'm a sucker who believes in the red top ply curse. I got the worst hipper (I think the only hipper) I've had within the first 5 minutes of skating it (but continued to skate it for about 2 weeks).
