No top washer doesnt bother you during smith grinds or anything? I was thinking of running the 88 cylinders but with a sanded down top bushing so i can still use the washer

First time running no top washers so it'll be fun to find out. I'll most likely do exactly that - sand down the bushing to get that washer on but sanding a bushing is a pain in the ass ha. Anybody got any tips?

I usually rub it hard on the grip of an old board on the small side. be careful of your fingers though.

How are Destructos?  I'd love an 8.25 truck, but the Krux are much too high.  However, I like the idea of mids since Thunder are my go to.

i had a top washer fall off of my back truck once after i grinded it to nothing, and i stuck on smiths and feebles if i didn't put an extra push in there for a bit more speed.

I've been on them since march, so coming up on a year. They're lighter than Indys. I think the bushing are softer to. I went to stage 10s for like a week and couldn't get them to turn right. They grind great. I gotta nice little wedge in the front truck from nosegrinds

I remember Destructos having the best bushings in the world back around the 2004ish era.

I see you guys buying multiple boards at a time sometimes and I have a question. How much time do you have before setting up a deck for it to be still good and have a decent pop? Let's say out of the shrink wrap, how long can you keep it? Any tricks to conserve it well?

I keep a board anywhere from 4-6 weeks then it's on to the next. I don't think that's nearly enough time for them to go stale since they aren't made of bread. I think the trick to conservation is not to keep them in the trunk of a hot car for an indefinite period of time.

i try and average it out to about 8 weeks if i'm really liking that particular board, but yeah anywhere from 4-8 weeks, longer in winter usually shorter in summer. Any of you guys try to reach a ply level in the wear of your tail or just me?

Once I get to about the 5th ply is when I start debating when to change decks.

Used to skate boards until they were in two pieces but these days, its until I crack them, the tail is razored and misshaped, or it just feels too soggy. Currently on a Polar that refuses to die. It has a square tail (they don't wear as well as a rounded tails) but this board still feels so lively and poppy, I can't surrender it just yet.

^oh god i am not the only one feeling that way? that is basically the reason why i stick to schmitt boards with the round/ square nose and tail- it just doesn't razor tail as quick. i love me some baker or deathwish shapes and generator wood but i just go through them too quick!

Wow I'm the opposite. My WKND has already started to razor more than my Polar. I've had the Polar since mid November and I got the WKND for Christmas. I find PS wood to razor pretty quickly, but the square tail on my Welcome lasted me quite a while

I saw your mom do a ollie to cooch drop straight down the big black pole, it was gnarly. she defiantly shut that shit down

My board didnt fit in my baggage so I had to buy a new one here in Germany. I went to the closest skateshop that a friend of mine shown me and they actually had some cool boards on sale. 45? w/ grip is not that bad. It's my first PS stix in some years, the shape is amazing.

Pizza 8.25 w/ shop grip (looks and feels like mob)
Indy forged koston's 139 w/ aftermarket indy bushings 90a
Muckefuck wheels 52mm cored
Diamond smoke rings bearings + Diamond hardware
Suciu's on feet but actually skating in some Koston 3's

edit: (just noticed it matches my MC Brinquedo profile image, more stoke points ahah)

Ran over my own board today so i had to set up a new complete.

Northern co X Push collab
Ace 44's W Krux downlow kingpin ( Thanks Heritage )
Bronson Speed co bearings
Pusher 54mm conical shape.
Girl risers
bender allen hardware
Reality Griptape
State Elgin
kinda bittersweet not skating ventures for the first time in 10 years. I love them but am ready for a change.
also stepped up from 52mm.
