Just set this one up today after unexpectedly breaking mine yesterday.

Currently skating my second pair of eS Accel slims as well. I've fallen in love with thinner cupsoles again.

Dope shoes & setup dude! Your preferences are right along with mine although now you got me contemplating if I should mess around with some bigger wheels, haha. If you ever get some FP insoles they're perfect for those accels

I highly recommend bigger wheels if you want more speed with minimal effort. Plus, the way they lock into grinds feels perfect.
I've been considering giving FP's insoles a try, but I'm not quite sure which ones to get. What's your preference?

What Sodajerk said. I myself use the Kingfoam Custom Orthotics because it provides great impact protection & molds to my arches. It's supposed to keep your other joints in alignment when you take any impact which overall just helps your whole body last longer throughout the session.

^This. If you have high arches, straight knees and no real problems, and don't have any particular pains out of the usual after a long session. The Kingfoam elites are a flatter version that, in my opinion, absorb the most impact. They're quite stiff and take a few session to break in though. For chillin, definitely the game changers or orthotics.

Purchased a new complete for the first time in about 9 years. Between having a few kids, work and going to grad school, free time to kick around has been nonexistent. Over the past two years things have started to settle down a bit and I've been able to get out a little more. Before getting any new gear, I wanted to make sure I was being serious about skateboarding regularly again and get in better shape. Well, here we are.

Thunder Hollow Lights - 149 (no changes to bushings yet, open to suggestions)

^ looks sick. I can never get around buying black trucks, but once they get skated they look really nice. I've always been a raw hangar and baseplate rider, but might have to grab a set of black trucks at some point

It's a first for me. I've only ever had a colored baseplate once, and that was on my first skateboard. The matte finish on these Thunders is really nice, and I got a good deal on them so why not. My only gripe is my setup looks like a Diamond Supply Co. special, but a few stickers and breaking it in should fix that right up.

8.38 full feels good.

For me it's the perfect size & shape. It's wide enough to keep most of your foot on but still skinny enough to flip fast, and the concave is just right. I'm interested in that 8.38 twin tail tho that might make me stray from my tried & true Full shape

Lock ins are legit. I just skated them for a few hours at the park and I gotta say they work surprisingly well for the gimmick. I'm an F4 loyalist and these wheels are the truth.

exactly. i tried to size down to an 875 with a 14.25 wheelbase and i couldn't even ollie as high as previously. having to reposition my feet on it was terrible. never thought id get so used to a shape but damn its tough to switch. up until like 4 years ago i always grabbed boards based on the graphics, and now that I've got a consistent shape/size I'm actually progressing to the point of enjoying skating so much more than previously

clean. I've been wanting to try some thunders for a while, might grab 151's and see how they work with a fatter wheel (conical full) on a 9 inch board. have only skated indys so it might be time to switch it up. they made at ermico? or in the USA in general?
