5 months old board still holding it
8.38 deatwish
149 indy with black cilinder indy bushings
F4 classic full
mix of swiss and lucky bearings
shitty grip, need to change it
fake slide marks everywhere, took me one minute to do them before the shooting

edit : super glued and shaped some old plys on the tail to extend the board's life, as it's not cracked yet

This setup is a departure from my norms.
I’ve been riding a 8.38 full but this deck is sweet, also been riding Thunder 149s and I can’t stand painted/graphics on trucks, but the Ventures are turny and super stable. Nose and tail sides improved greatly! Lastly I usually ride F4’s for the Bones for free, they are smoother on rough ground and fast, but don’t slide as well, could be the narrow shape.

If anyones been wondering what Paulo Diaz has been up to, he's been playing music and did a guest artist board for my little brand, Brujaria Skateboards.

Having grown up in LA in the 90s, its kind of mind blowing to be able to do a collaborative model with the Don of Los Feliz.

Are those mag plates on your 55s? If so, where did you get them? Also, how do you like those 55s on your 8.6. Currently running 8.5 and 44 but tempted to take the 55s on my cruiser and run them on my next board which is an 8.6 instead of using the 44s

Yeah they’re the mag plates. Good eye! I got them direct from Ace a while back. What can I say, high friends in low places.
I like wide trucks so I push the 55 on everything. My usual whip is 8.75 but I wanted a faster flick so I dropped it to the 8.6. The wheels stick out a tiny bit but not badly enough for me to notice. Technically the Paulo board is listed as a 8.5 but it’s a chunky one. We also did a limited run of dipped Cruisers in atomic green.

Thanks for the info. Might try skate the 55s then. Might notice a weight difference going from 44s with an inverted kingpin and mag plates to stock 55s but shouldn't be too bad.

Nah it’s just the way the formulas are different, spit f4’s do slide easier butttttttt the bones are smoother and faster and still slide just not as slippery as f4 so

Bones-smoother, faster
F4-slippery slide

I like everything about spitfire but the qualities compared to bones and the years they’ve come to make great street skating wheels bones takes the cake for me

Yeah you can talk about shapes but even that every f4 I’ve tried slips and grips either more or less and never a good middle even
yes

Skates like a dream. Everything is new as I lost my board about a month ago, which feels a bit weird as I haven't had a Christmas complete in probably 10 years but it skates perfectly.

Is their 8.38 the mellow concave? I know that they do some steeper boards as well, but those mellow ones are so good. I skated a deathwish 8.475 for a couple months this summer, and have 3 more b16's on deck for whenever my real slick deck is done. I'm looking forward to sizing down to the 14.25 wheelbase and that sweet mellow concave for winter.
