It's been confirmed by DLX that the numerals represent where in the stack of boards in the press each deck is.
Right, I think "I" is on the bottom (mellower) and "V" the top (steeper)?
backwards.
"I" is on the top (steeper) and "V" the bottom (mellower).
I have two of the same deck - one is I and one is IV. The difference is marginal. After skating both, I now no longer care where on the stack it came from. It's just not enough of a difference for me to pay attention to.
I've noticed that with bbs decks there isn't all that much of a difference between the top and bottom of the stack. Some other woodshops though, it's really noticeable, to the point that if you told me they were from the same mold I would have my doubts. I'll see if I can dig up some pics of the more egregious ones I've had, but off the top of my head the two that were most noticeable were a PS scumco deck (8.25 Downey I think) and just recently I got two south central E molds with one being similar to the others I have and the other being super flat and mellow.
I actually kinda like the variation since sometimes I'll find a shape that's just a hair too steep or mellow but I understand why people want consistent shapes too. At any rate it is (or at least was) enough of an issue that when Mullen set up his dream shop in China he made it a point to use single deck pressing to eliminate the problem.

A special fren sent me this scumco 1 of em (fun ass board) I rly liek dis theme. I am sasha fierce.

Congratulations on finally getting your board Senor Complimentes, looks very nice. Is that one of the rare Pennswood decks with a 14.25 wb? If so then I had a very similar one that I really liked aces on.
Also is that model the one that was like 31.5" long?
