Anti Hero Brown Bomber 8.86/14.25 wb/32
Indy Stage 11 159 Hollows
Spitfire Radials 54mm
Modus 7 Bearings
Shake Junt bolts
Jessup Grip

First little session today on the brown bomber. It is the biggest setup I ever owned. I wear a 7.5 and didn't expect too much from that board. But man the pop is explosive and I could do all my usual flips on it. Now I question myself why I always rode 8.125 decks?!

Looks sharp.
Much, much easier to go up, than down, in size, imo.

Don't think I have ever posted a setup before but here's my current ride. I'm not the biggest gear head and usually stick with what I know because I'm a basic bitch but I could use some new truck/wheels suggestions. I do a metric fuckton of slappies if that helps. Cheers y'all.

Unity 8.25 x 32 (woodshop is BBS)
Indy 149 Stage 11 with stock bushings
Spitfire Classics 54mm (now more 47/46mm and in desperate need of changing)
Bones Reds
Mob Grip

Hey how are the ace 66 on the dane1? I currently have ace 55 on my dane1 setup and I was wondering how flip tricks would be with a larger truck.

Slappy wise, I'd say what you have it fine. A lot of people who do strictly slappys are going for wide boards with Indy 159/169 or Ace 55/66 (since those are the two trucks that subjectively have the best grind) and TINY wheels, like 40mm range.

But if you do that you're stuck with a board that literally good for only one thing and useless for anything else.

You'll get there, don't worry. The "I could use some suggestions" is how we all started. Welcome to the madness.

May I ask how long it took you to get to this stage of wheels? How often do you use your board for transportation? What are the streets like in your area? Feel free to answer all, some, or none of the questions.

these have been skated for about 10 months. i usually swap my wheels out every summer, i have about 4 or 5 sets of old conical fulls that are in similar shape or a little bit more worn down.
i live in poland, and about 75% of the sidewalks in polish cities look like this:

i use my board for transportation a lot, i either ride my bike or skate to wherever i need to go to. i like to bomb hills and i do a lot of powerslides so i tend to wear my wheels down quick. they still feel good on rougher surfaces, there's a lot of shitty rough asphalt nearby and it doesn't bother me too much. i've skated bones 100s from october until i got that deck and the conicals feel much better on that, the bones felt too hard and too "plasticy", didn't slide as well etc.
I'm ok with theft. It happens to me all the time.
I steal too

I'm going to miss this neon green board.  There's a ton of life left in it so it will go to a kid who needs a decent board.

Why the switch? Must be a super light set up.

Dope. Thanks for the in depth answer. Something satisfying about using gear to its max potential. Inspires me to hunker down and use up all my old wheels in my closet that I replaced just because I had a hankering for that new wheel feel.

Are those boards e-mold? I was bummed there weren't any 8.38" flats in the most recent drop, but got a couple 8.25"s and 8.5"s that I am super into.

The ACG graphic series was sick. When I first started skating, my mom wouldn't buy me skate shoes and I had to choose between my Chucks and my ACG Zion lows. The Zions had this insane thick hiking sole but I tried to skate them anyway because they looked more like skate shoes to me than the Chucks did.

These are both the standard mold.  I might go back to skating flats on the next DOA drop (likely 8.5)

while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo

Love that graphic and politic but I think that ones pretty steep isn’t it?

Also that whole setup is sick.

One more setup to post, a Real renewal edition. Dimensions: 7.75 x 31.25 x 14" wheelbase, which I'm hyped on. 14" wheelbase decks are hard to find, much less one that's under 8 inches. I'm becoming a 14"-wheelbase believer.

Got it in the sale bin of a skateshop and I really just want to learn f/s bigspins and impossibles on it. I haven't skated a board under 8" in maybe twelve years? But I'm dying to learn those two tricks so the smaller dims should help. I'm not overly concerned about the quality of renewal edition decks if I just skate flat, even though I've snapped decks just skating flat. Time will tell.

Then I'm skating my older Thunders that I think are 147s (the hangar measures at 127mm), old Bones wheels which are probably 50mm now, and Mini-logo bearings. Hopefully everything's light enough to work to my advantage.

Nice dimensions. Up until 2 years or so I only rode 7.75.

I can't wait to try it out. Way back in the early 00's I rode nothing but 7.625, haha. It's basically impossible to find a decent 7.625 now so this is the closest I'll get to reliving my formative years.
