Ordered this deck from cowtown for my birthday. It’s hard for me to find a primitive graphic I actually like .

8.1 primitive
Venture 5.6 Hi with riptides and supercush bushings
53mm f4 tablets 99a
Swiss six

Got a nice rolled ankle today so guess it’s going to be a little before I get another session on it

Skrong answers! No tight truck shaming.
And now, in my pervy voice.....what’s the wb on that deck?
I bought 5.2s awhile back, maybe probably
Should have got 5.6s

14. It’s actually a really great shape and the ventures work perfect for me on the 14 inch wheelbase. I didn’t even like 5.2 on the 8 I had so I run the 5.6 on my 8-8.1’s.

They are NOT THAT TIGHT! I swear!

Haha! damn i just chipped the nose on mine yesterday. Really bummed! might find another one! it's so fun! the venture combo just really goes along with this wide width/short wheelbase. my pop is more consistent as oppose to coming off from Ace.

Not sure if this is the best thread to ask but I just snapped my Brad Cromer 8.38 football shape after a week and a half.

I was wondering do any other companies make a similar shape before I buy another one. Most of the boards I’ve seen with that taper are usually much larger in width than 8.38.

ScumCo 8-7/8” x 31-11/16” x 14” wb - this board is so confusing to me but I got it on sale
Venture 5.8 standard (painted baseplates) - all stock
53 FF Radial Slims
Jessup
Mini Logo bearings
Shortys

I have one too. Bought it because it was a black and yellow scumco logo deck and I'm a yinzer. It is super weird to skate so I use it as an occasional cruiser/grocery getter. It's so wide and the wb is so compact that it feels like driving a Cadillac on a Miata frame or something.

I think the Deedz shape looks somewhat similar based on the specs but I've never ridden either.  Maybe slightly fuller nose and tail.  May want to check the Egg Shaped Boards thread.

Anti Hero Black Widow shaped eagle. I want to say someone on here had both and said that, in spite of the different listed specs, they are the same size/shape.

Yesterday I setup a Primitive board. It didn’t even last a half hour into my session and someone mentioned that it looked like I had trouble even riding it. It could’ve been the worst board I’ve ever skated. I set up this Krooked board for my birthday today and it was like yesterday didn’t even happen

Those are only four months old. I do a lot of grinds and slides to make up for the fact that I can’t flip my board as consistently as I used to. Slappies are fun, but I still have more fun skating a ledge/box, or transition. If I could still do switch crooks my back truck probably would’ve broke by now

What was the problem with the primitive?
For starters it had a Rick and Morty sex robot graphic that I spray painted. A part of the nose chipped off through all seven layers of the deck. It felt like it had a dead-pop and wouldn’t leave the ground in the same way toy store boards don’t leave the ground. It’s been a long time since I’ve skated a board that terrible

Also, thank you Mr. NotJeff

DOA 36 Chambers, flat as fuck 8.5" (14.5" WB)
Ace 55
F4 99 Tablets 51mm

I never leave the top graphic exposed but the Menace tribute is too good. Also, I posted in the Ace thread that 55s on an 8.5 looked bad, but my 44s felt really skinny on this one. It looks OK with the tablets and I am liking how it skates.
