I’m out of the loop, is Evan actually pro for Antihero now or is the Grimple Stix thing a “guest board” type of deal?
[close]
on grimple/ah but the setup reminds me of this clip

That’s weird lol but I don’t think he’s really moving to Girl.

I would have loved to see him go on Baker like Tyson did, though.

How do you like it? I’m on 8.375” MC board from that same series and I’m having hard time with almost two fingers of flat before tail kicks in, same trucks as you have.
europe's like the capitol of england and france and whatever

It sucks getting old.

pizza 8" 14" WB PStix , Squared off nose , steep kicks
venture 5.2 hollow lights
53mm 101 conical f4 / swiss

been one of my most solid setups in a long time. I had F4 51mm 99DU tablets on it until the past few days where I switched back to these conicals, think I dig the stability of the conical over the tablets. as well as the 101 vs the 99 DU

I have a GX1000 8.125 to set up next and I hope this truck set up will work just as well with the board being a little bit bigger.
[close]

Outside of pizza, looks ideal.
I want that gx 8.125, interested to see what you think

I respect your slide marks.  And by extension, you as
a person.

Shalom on preserving the Forbidden 14

yeah wasn't psyched on Pizza, but sometimes when you find that perfect shape, gotta roll with it. The GX definitely has more mellow concave , and the kicks are little more mellow. but should be a fun board , I've enjoyed the FA 8.125 in the past that was PSstix .

yup, went back to 875. was exclusively riding the 875 workshop put out until they started doing a 9 inch. this has the same dimensions as the 875 visitor. definitely noticing a lightweight snappier ollie. maybe its just mental. the 9 inch was a behemoth haha.

Grimple 8.38 x 14.62 full
149 Hollow Forged
55 AA conical full 99a
Swiss 6
Mob

Trying out longer wheelbases now that I’m back on Indys and I’m kinda getting with it. Digging this deck a good bit, though I think it’ll take a few sessions to get used to. Feels great to be back on a DLX deck after a few years.

I'm also really getting with these velcros. Always been a lace ripper and can't skate slips cause I've got narrow bird feet. This feels like the perfect option.

Really excited to try this board out the next nice day here. I've been wanting to test this shape for a long time and my local got one in

I would prefer to see roughly 3 inches between them. Still very nice however.

Sweet man. Please post it up in here, wanna see want it look like gripped and give some down low on the shape if possible?

I forgot about this, sorry.

I did not like the Toy 8.5x32.25x14.38 with ATGs. I swapped them with my 44s and walá it’s perfect for me now. Mellow kicks made me change my ollie motion for the better; higher and floatier pop. Concave feels as good as my flat arches will allow, which is a good thing. Pointy kicks as expected, liking the scoop but no surprise there. I’m getting longer mannies too but no idea if that’s the wheelbase (which I expected to be 14.25 from Tum Yeto website) or just the setup as a whole.

Feels so natural under my feet I might keep buying this shape in the near future. Similar shape suggestions would be highly appreciated too.

As an aside, I’m loving the mini vomit wheels !

Nice!! I’m also enjoying mellow, flat shapes with 44s. Pointy is always best. I’ll look towards some of those toys. Mini vomits, haven’t looked into....

What’s up with zero boards having like a half finger of flat or less before the nose and tail kick up. Don’t they know venture is the only truck?

I’m not they, but I’ll run 6 bolts sometimes. I don’t like bolts that are not black, and it can be a way to set up the board to quickly see what’s what. And then it becomes its own weird thing. I always use the outer most mounting holes tho. I’ve done the 4 bolts, but I don’t break boards that fast, and it just gets sloppy too easily for me, rounding out the base plates and the deck. 4 was for the real G’s

Why only 3 bolts too

I can think of two of my friends in particular who always do the 3 bolts per truck, and surprise surprise - they're the two guys who always have their hardware coming loose. But I also think a lot of people just don't tighten their hardware enough - I've never had mine come loose, ever, in over 30 years of skating. I run hardware for well over a year too.
