Hey Pals!

Quick question...

Have any of you dealt directly with the FA webstore?  I ordered a few boards last Wednesday and haven't gotten any shipping notice yet.  I understand there's a lot of challenges right now, especially in LA and other major market cities, but I was just curious what kind of turnaround time you experienced or if anyone here knows what's up with them?

Ordered the AAs and they take a while. I think I got them 2 weeks later and the warehouse is ridiculously close from my place.

Ordered a deck last week and got a shipping notice within 2 days. Fed ex is taking forever to deliver it tho. Tracking says its been waiting for delivery from a town 15 miles away for 3 days now. Hopefully it hasn't just been sititng in the hot ass truck in the texas sun

Heat and humidity are always concerns when I buy a deck online. I don’t have any horror stories but I’m just waiting for the day.

^ You just gave it a little character is all.

I liked that one Loser deck you did with the
cartoony deflated Mickey-mouse looking thing, TwisT.  Which is saying something because I hate just about everything.

Scumco 8.25
Venture 5.8 V-lights with stemmed flat top and bottom washers, and some exposed axle :)
Radial slim 54mm 99a, probably about 50mm now

Got this deck because the fully dyed veneers looked cool, but not sure if the 14inch wheelbase is going to work for me. Last time I skated a 14inch wheelbase was a few years ago and definitely was a bit unstable. Though that was on Aces so maybe these Ventures will make it more manageable. Been feeling real good on ~14.25 with these trucks for the past year or so.

edit: pop feel wayyyyy too light, wb too short for me. I can see the appeal but nope.

This just sold me on 5.6s. Can't wait for mine to arrive. I feel like 5.25 is too small coming from Ace 44s, but those look perfect.

Amen to 5.2s feeling too small on anything bigger than 8.

I had this deck in an 8.5. I was stoked on the graphic and the green stain (mine wasn't split) and didnt measure the wb before leaving the shop. Bad decision. it was 14" too and way too short for me. I rode it a handful of times and passed it on. Shame because I really liked the nose on it, and I could actually do better wallrides probably due to the shorter length and wb but it just didnt work overall

omg my bad that was a typo these are 5.8s, but 5.6s are great too very similar to ace 44s in width

about 32. so the tail and nose were kinda long and light. Might have been ok if they were a bit steeper. Supposedly not meant to be an issue with ventures but im used to these ventures on 32 x 14.25.

Might be counter-intuitive because of the short wb but I actually really only like the silver spoon concave (thats what all the crazy stain ones are) on indy standards or thunder team. High and heavy. Never really liked it on ventures, cast or forged. This batch seems to be mellower than the old ones too, not sure why. Great for me but you sound like you prefer steeper kicks.

For literallly just slapping old graphics on some crazy stained decks some of them came out looking awesome though. If you didn't trash it throw that thing in the classifieds here or on ebay and I bet it'll sell pretty quick

cant decide if im more down with 8.3 and 149s or 8.5 with 55s

but the more i skate aces the more i dig em

this toy machine was marked at 8.3 but it feels like 8.5 and its about as flat as the doa i just skated

I've been exploring starting a board brand, during corona. It'll probably pay off in august. In the meantime, I've just been printing up one-offs.

If you do I’ll cop one. Absolutely Loved the first 2 graphics. All have been dope.

Edit/ you could do a small batch set up a pre order and order a few extra than what was preordered that way you’re not upside down and sitting on dead stock and have extras to sell for those who couldn’t pre order or skate yourself or see if local shop will put them up.

I actually have a small batch in production In 8.25, 8.5, & 8.125 w/14.25 wheelbases on all the decks. Online store is ready to go. Just waiting on the product I appreciate all the good vibes from all you guys.

I haven't found a great shipping method, so if any knows the most cost-effective way to ship boards let me know.
