the Gils feel great broken in.  The canvas is holding up really well too.  The stitches blow out in certain spots, but i put a layer of superglue on the ollie areas and they've been lasting fine
you keep the top two eyelets open so you can slip on and off without lacing every time? And they’re a good fit that way?

Nah i untie them, I just never lace them that high for some reason.  The tongue has elastic centering straps so they lock your feet in pretty well

This board is stationary nose wheeler beast. I can't wait to try it tomorrow with shoes. Maybe tonight.

Traffic x orchard 8.2
(perfect WB was just over 14") I assume low in the stack because is nice and flat. Probably a k shape no stamp. Could be bbs but the mystic advisor had a larger wb.

Maybe it a custom wb? My Measuring stuff is MIA.

Vhollow 5.6 flat washer. No hot rod parts. I haven't been grinding much lately but these are fully broken in. Turing so nicely.

my AH has my groovy cast 5.6s
this new set up will be introduced slowly till one is dead.

Loopholes 54 tear drops shape

They hang no problem. I wish I could use the spacers I'm not going to lie.

They should fix that eventually. If it happened more than twice I'd be over them. I want my bearings to spin at the same rate and handle impact have no side to side play

I tore down all my regular reds then rebuilt a set from the best parts.

Wtf is up with regular reds since like 2017? They totally suck.

Gnar to everyone on the right stuff. This thread is looking killer.

Beautiful setup. You got me thinking about these specific Ventures. Also, I too am mad stoked about the look of the purple bushings. Keep ya head up homie.

*Edit, yeah my last 3 sets of reds were not so great as back in 2017. Now I am on Modus Blues, these things are nice so far. Blurs Bearings from Barcelona are also good.

Wait, you can’t fit spacers in teardrop shaped loopholes? They fit fine in the v-shape conicals.

Man, fuck spacers.  If I needed a little tiny hard black thing that doesn’t even work, I’d just use my penis.

Nah, I have all 8 bolts. Put two in each truck, grip it and put in the other two. Makes it way easier to put grip on/cut clean and I love the way it looks.

How fun is taking the bolts out when swapping decks tho? does the hardware get that sticky glue residue? I have so many questions.

Just poke the Allen key through the grip and unscrew. Take the truck off and pop the bolt out from the bottom. Takes no time at all.

How does only having half the number of bolts over the grip tape make gripping it way easier?

Because with the trucks & wheels already connected to the board after the first four bolts, they lock the board onto a workbench edge like a 50-50 grind. This allows me to get a really nice angle for pulling the razor blade smoothly through the griptape in one continuous motion, leaving a super clean edge.

So I bought this Tactics deck because 1)I'm a broke ass full time student and 2)It's definitely BBS wood. I just switched from a Real 8.25" 14.38 wb  and it feels virtually identical right down to the concave so I'm quite happy.

Deck: Tactics 8.375" x 14.375" wb
Grip: Jessup Ultra
Trucks: Indy 149 forged hollows (i know the hangars say reynolds, but swapped baseplates for forged), rip tide cracked ice pivots, indy orange barrel aftermarket bushings
wheels: Spitfire F4s 99a conical fulls, originally 56mm
Bearings: Bones swiss, regular
hardware: 7/8" allen diamond bolts

Shoes: etnies marana michelin
