Polar 8”
Indy 139 Forged Hollows, aftermarket bushings
Bones Swiss 6
Formula 4 Classic 52 worn to 51 perfect shape
Gross 7/8” Allen hardware

Blazer Mid Premium

Only 1 session so far, but it feels absolutely perfect. Definitely like it more than the Pass~Port 8.25/149 combo I had and loved. Will be nice to get the Mid hangers to drop them just a tad lower.

Looks nice

Is it too late to post Christmas completes?

deck - heroin 9.9/14.1/31.0
trucks - tracker dart 184mm (no kingpin washers)
wheels - spitfire radial 55mm
hardware - reds bearings/enjoi 7/8 allen bolts/modus griptape/heroin glowstick rails

Took it for a spin yesterday, way too fun.

ive got one of these on ice.  i almost don't want to skate it, it looks too good

Thanks man! Been getting alot of compliments at the local park lately so I don’t blame if you have it on ice, really love the pearlescent paint style on this one.

Got my Pass~Port to happiness right here  ;)  8)
8.5 x 32.08 x 14.5 (I think?)
Pass~Port Thread deck with Mob
Indy 149
SF F4 CF 54/99
Indy Phillip's
Joslin 1

Noticeably steeper and more concave than the Heroin (8.5 Eyes) I just finished riding, but that one was mellower to begin with anyway. It'a definitely a medium steep/concave shape/press (which I like) Love it for kick flips and tre flips since I get such a good pop and flick. Can't wait for it to mellow out a bit so it becomes that happy medium between mellow and steep!

lil update on the Clutch/Canada Boardshop blanks:

i thought it felt cheap at first, but a few sessions in and its actually really good.  nice and flat.  snappy.

not sure where to get more of them now, but if you see one, they're worth a shot

A guy in my town is starting a brand and has 420 decks on order from Clutch. 5 sizes, a couple shapes and 6 graphics. Sounds like covid has made turnaround time super slow.

Orchard shop deck 8.1” M1 mold (mellowish kick with normal concave)
5.2 low ventures
52mm 99a f4 spitfires
Bronze hardware. ALLEN HEAD ONLY
Swiss bearings

* I changed out the Ventura for 148 thunders and went down to 50mm f4’s.  Feels better.

I usually ride “flat as fuck” decks but wanted to get something a little steeper.  Took me a little to get used to but today seemed to feel the best. Great pop and very light wood.  I loved the old vehicle decks pre chapman, and was so hyped to see gangemi was pressing these.

Post your real setup - the baker deck and thundies. I'll see if I can find some of that shake junt "get buck" graphic grip for you

I don’t really think they’re coming back anymore than they were.  I just prefer having more control over what I ride.  I had a string of shit boards last year and I was tired of rolling the dice.  I’ve become really picky; I need a blank or minimal graphic with paint over colored wood.  If it’s that flaky heat transfer paint over natural wood it ruins the board for me.

I think some brands are selling subpar product because of all the Covid shortages.  I’d still rather have my money go to a small brand, which is why I’m considering getting the carpet blanks going forward.

I like the 101's a lot.  But, gotta be honest, I mainly ride them on smooth LA skatepark ground.  On crustier ground there is a noticeable slow-down.  I'm going to get 99 tablets next to do a real comparison

Might i suggest the NFG/loophole 54mm square if you're looking for something hard and slidey but holds speed well. Ive only skated 101 f4 in 53mm conical full, but I think I prefer the NFG formula to it ( 99 f4 is still the best in my book though). I REALLY like the 95a NFG formula on crust too, feels like a slightly softer f4 99 to me.

If you want to try them but don't care about flaws or bubbles (which dont affect performance) NFG sells production seconds for $25 on their site.

Please don't start.  That thing blew.  I'm also ready to consider my "board with slight kick" experiment a wrap and just set up my low ventures again.  I already put 50's back on.

Real 8.75 - my first 8.75 and I think I’m switching to it for the foreseeable future

Pig 52mm - I’m enjoying these much more than I thought I would, might try out their conical shape next

Indy 149 - smaller than ideal for a 8.75, but the deck overhang makes scoop tricks easier since I have more leverage, also primos don’t feel as bad

I was kind of angry at the graphic/sticker job/griptape combo thinking how you'd never be able to tell the difference between the nose and tail. Then I realized I'm dumb and actually read it was a twin shape.

Overall just perfect sized bigger deck - to me anyway.

Slick was only in the 8.25 size, as per:

Baker 8.3 Steep/Square shape (sticker says 8.3 but the engraving on the deck says 8.38 )
148 Thunder Ti’s w/ cast plates, riptides, Rimz, and Krux pin
53mm Spitfire 99a Tablets
NB# Tiago 1010
[close]

Definitely the 8.38 x 32.25 with 14.5 wheelbase - the size I like.

B2 so square ends and steeper concave too (more like FA / Hockey and similar boards)

How does it compare to your other decks, eg Krooked, Real, Freedom shop board?

Your video part was mighty fine too!

Thanks! I’ve been enjoying it so far, it feels like a Real Full deck but more square. I’ve wanted a Baker logo board for years but never grabbed one so it was cool to treat myself to the red/gold foil combo. Ima still go back to the Freedom decks though just because they work so well for me. Shape is generic as hell but it’s reliability is Toyota Camry status lol
