I could have sworn habitat listed it as a 14.5 when it first came out. Did they mislabel it?

new deck, wheels, bolts and bushings since i blew out the previous bones hards

[close]

That shape looks really good. I think I wanna grab something square for my next board. How does something like that skate?

I had one when they dropped last year and it was such a great deck. Perfect shape and kicks. I set it up with Ace 44s and 52 conical fulls.

Ok

I blew it.

No bolts for the wooden risers.

Was going loopholes with my good bearings but I was like fuck it. Winter bearings winter bushings deadly square wheels for now. I got more of these boards when they dropped. I know I'll have many more.
I ride a lot of orchard boards.

Looks v-nice? What size? What size trucks?

31.25?
8.25 exactly at the truck at the middle ant the back truck.
Venture 5.6 regs w/ Indy supah soft bushings
Bones V2 rodney mullen they lock in that's no marketing bs. Frickin swapping that soon.

regs reds no shields I hand built out of parts.

Got about a half HR of skating flat.
It's good so far.

I'm coming off a dlx with at least .25 more wb. and likely the same in length.

I fell asleep doing this post

Bless you.
31.25 is ideal, 14 mandatory.
Whatever goes with ventures I’m liking these days.
Those boards look rad.

May you switch tre at will

Alltimers team board i had on ice for awhile, 8.5 14.5
- Indy 149s, stock bushings
- New 53 mm f4 conical fulls
Quasi proto, 8.5 14.25
- Krux K5s, stock bushings, 8.5 (they're alright. Can't decide if I like them loose or a little cranked)
-The same model F4s but burned down
[close]

Very sick

Which one do you prefer?

Thanks man
I like the krux a lot more than I thought. They tilt a lot before they turn, they're light with a quick pol and quasi's high wide kicks which makes landing things and just getting out of slides and off coping easier. I can really bash a front nose or nollie back tail in on a curb with a real light touch. Real fun set up for flat and curbs, especially learning new tricks
As a taller guy who's been skating 14.5s w Indys for like 8 years, with a month long break for thunders once, I always come back to the Indys though. I can just get the board 'up' in the air more consistently, and I have an easier time on ledges. I think it's just the length of my legs and the depth you get popping indys.

Something else is that I have an easy time getting into a back tail on the krux setup and a hard time locking in my nose slides, and my indy set up is the opposite. It's a thing I never really thought about until recently getting those down

Who makes skate deluxe blanks ?

I‘m not quite sure since the information is nowhere to be found neither on their decks nor on their website. Compared to asked price for BBS decks in Germany it is quite cheap so I guess they might be pressed at hlc. Nevertheless I really like the shape and the wood seems to be good. So I don‘t really care, hope this helps

I guess the best way is when standing on a few different brand decks, which one does it feel most similar to, but even that is no true way of identifying the woodshop used.

If the shop guys who know their stuff don't want to tell you, then it is most likely cheaper generic wood, but they might not know either.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

If there's any distinguishing marks on it (stamps, alignment marks, mold #'s etc) someone might be able to tell you what it is. I do know that 8.25 x 31.5 14wb is a pretty common stock size for Chinese wood though. DSM does a lot of boards in that flavor but they also typically mark their boards. Is it really flat or is there a lot of concave? The ones I'm thinking of are pretty flat while most HLC decks I've tried (even the sour "low concave" ones) have a decent bit of spoony concave and the 8.25's tend to be closer to 32" and 14.2"wb. Obviously they could order a custom size, but it might help narrow things down.

Thank you for the information it is indeed really flat. There was nothing on the deck no stamps, mold etc just 8.25 engraved with a laser. That plus the fact that their shop decks are kinda cheap you could be right that it is chinese wood. I checked all of their 8.25's on their website again and all of them have different measurements which seems kinda weird to me, since I don't think that they have like 5 different 8.25 shapes. Maybe they buy some kind of b-stock or get something that is leftover by other brands otherwise I have no explanation for it

Everyday I get closer and closer to setting up a hockey/fa 8.5 with my ace 55s. Does it flip and get off the ground as much as you’d like it to?

I didn't notice any extra difficulty flipping or reduce height, but if you actually have tricks dialed in ymmv
