8.5 hockey
159 hollow
f4 og classic 55mm

The sticker placement with the single rail is top notch!

Got my 55’s in the mail as well as some 58mm’s. I put it on a spare 8.5 board I had just to see for myself what it would look like.
It’s not super hotrod but it bugs me too much. Isn’t Hockey doing a 9” now? The hunt for a nice 9 or 8.75 starts.

And it’s raining here today so I can’t see what the trucks are like. Need risers that actually fit the ace baseplates properly too

Not trying to tell you your business holmes..but 55s on a 9" Polar is heavenly. Actually they are great on a 8.75 Polar too.

I heavily back this recommendation, like more than i would back any other recommendation

Well i personally actually would equally/more recommend polar 8.5 or 8.6 with 55s depending on your liking

Love how stickers look on the nose, but hate how they feel/look when you first start doing crooks/noseslides

I swear they’ve never seen them sold that big.

Took Dane1 to test today. It was fun but felt super weird at first since I've skated much longer decks for a while. More about cruising around on that.

The phrase "standard issue" comes to mind when I look at my current setup, but I love it. Been skating it a couple weeks now but here's when it was fresh

8.5 Eagle
AF1 55s
52 conical full F4s
Big balls
hardware

This is one of those setups that I love/hate seeing because I know if I had just ridden this for the past 10-15 years instead of trying out 12,000 different deck/truck/wheel/dimension combos I'd be way better at skating.

I know exactly how you feel, switching it up is just too tempting for people like us...thankfully my current desires match up with what I skate well on but give me a few months and i'll be tempted in to switching up my setup again for something that i can't skate as well but i simply can't resist

5.8's on an 8.25 is an amazing combo. Super stable and the pinch is perfect. Hope you enjoy as much as I do.

Serious question. Is there any sticker placement more iconic than the emerica sticker over the nose?

I swear they’ve never seen them sold that big.

I don’t think there is.
But if these are sold I’d buy a nice stack lol

Emerica probably could have made enough dough to keep hsu, herman, and reynolds around just by selling those stickers for 10 bucks a piece.

1991 Jr
Classic 44 (3 washers inside up front, 3 washers outside in the back)
54mm 101 radial slim
Super Reds
Bender Allen

Got this board and a new popsicle at the same time a little while back. I had no intention of this becoming my main ride but I brought both boards to the park today and the popsicle went back in the trunk pretty quick. The trucks and wheels are castoffs previously relegated to the shelf but everything comes together perfectly here. Bushing situation on the 44s is a mess with so much random crap going that it’s not worth listing. End result is something just a little firmer feeling though and that’s good for me. I need some of those new Ace hard bushings.

Deck feels great and I love looking down at it. Pretty mellow overall. The kicks aren’t too steep, my first impression was that they were steeper than they actually are. I love the nose, feels great for slides actually and this whole set up is making learning nose manuals much easier.

Wasn't too happy with my old Setup. The Ventures fucked up my positioning and pop.
So, back to Basic Bullshit.

Hockey 9"
ACE Classics 55
ACE Hardware
Spitfire Conical 52
Bones Super Swiss 6 Balls

And again Dunks for my old, fucked up feet.

Setup looks so fun. The smaller wheels make the board look huge in the picture but in a good way. You are a lucky man skating those dunks. Definitely jealous

Has anyone skated slime balls 99a?

Like these:

I want to change it up from f4's and this color is calling out to me
