Aaron Herrington 8.25
ACE AF1 44’s
54mm OJ Hardlines. I think they’re a price point wheel. They feel a little soft
Bones Super Swiss 6 freshly cleaned and lubed

Have this one on ice. Love the graphic. Polar has been killing it with the all white decks and graphics in the forbidden 14.

Krooked 3.38
Thunder 149 Ti's with Ti kingpin and nuts
Spits conical slims F4's 52s
Bones Swiss 6
Miles grip
Ti 3/4" bolts and nuts

The Thunder 149 Ti's are lighter than my old Tensor Maglite ATG 8.75's. Not that it matters, just an observation because Tensor claimes their Maglites are 30% lighter than all other trucks. Tensor also claims they're guaranteed for life, but I reached out to them and it's been radio silence since I bent all four of my Maglite axels. They were fun trucks while they lasted though.
[close]

where did u get the titanium kingpins & nuts?
[close]
I bought them from the local redneck racecar shop, as it was cheaper than ordering online due to shipping. They're called jacob's ladder bolts and they offer an obscene amount of clearance. I believe they're used to fasten the driver's seat to the frame in sprint cars and dirt modifieds. They also sit flush with most conical top bushings:

The kingpin: https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Tru-Lite-Titanium-Seat-Bolt-3-8-24-Thread-x-2-Inch,34338.html
Kingpin nut: https://www.ebay.com/itm/252337219232
Hardware: https://www.ebay.com/itm/252367524883?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

The hardware also came with 20 titanium nuts, although they're not listed in the description. Blue Loctite needs to be used on the treads because there's no nyloc. They're obviously more expensive, but they should last years, so they will hopefully pay for themselves in the long run.

This is incredibly intriguing.

Anyone tried this with Indy's or Indy mids?

@PuffinMuffin have you had any issues with this configuration? I know you said you were having knee stuff going on and were going to be out of commission, but thought I would check to see what your experience has been thus far.  It looks like way more clearance than even the downlows.

I like the lurpivs a lot after the first session. They turn like aces, but they're a little taller, so you can turn crazy sharp. Pop is also a little better too. Disclaimer though, this was a first hour in below freezing temps, so I've got no idea what these bushings will feel like in a week, or even in warm weather.

Last I was told last year, South Central. I don't know if they ever changed woodshops because of covid reasons, but Red Curbs is pretty open about what shop they use.

Had the bold idea to try switching up truck brands and had a miserable time so I went crawling back. Figured I'd get used to some new ones now before indoor park season.

This one measures 7.625 actually but they advertise it as 7.5 lol. The 46ers are nicely shaped but I feel like I might be spoiled from riding NFGs because I can’t get past how inferior the urethane is. I flatspot these every session lol. They sound weird and feel sluggish at times as well. I’d love to try Boardy Cakes’ harder formula wheels, but I’m definitely going back to NFG 52mm teardrops after I’m done with these.

Op, you ok man? Being real here, you doin alright?

Lol yup, if Atlas sold shop decks as small as Red Curbs does I’d be riding one of those instead. The last Red Curbs shop deck I had broke during its first session on a tre flip, this one actually made it through its first session.

Not sure of the woodshop but I know they’re made in the USA

Forgot to post the grip on that 7.5. It’s normal Jessup, I’ve been gripping my boards sideways recently, and making the middle line in the grip the center of gravity on my board. Also I have these funky looking Pig hardware that’s anodized to look like how titanium looks when its heated up, it comes off almost like tie dye. I normally don’t give a fuck about my hardware but I dig these.

Bought this birthday complete for myself

I got this because Rodger Bagley said it was one of the best boards he has ever ridden. So I put it together as a slappie setup. Ive been skating 8.25 for over 20 years back when that was a big board so I wasn't taking this too serious but I got a chance to skate a little transition with it today it might become my everyday setup. I'm impressed

Powell Peralta && Heron 7-Ply Maple Skateboard Deck - 9.13 x 32.8
Ace 66 classics
Bones 50mm
Bones Swiss
6 7/8 Allens with two green Phillips just to fuck with you

Don't care what anyone thinks of Andy (He's fucking awesome and we'll see it showcased more in future video parts I hope), this board is one of the sickest and most interesting setups I've seen posted here. Even though ironically I hate the grip tape. The rails are dope lol.

Venture Low 5.2
F4 52m Classics
Reds

So hyped on this. Switching over from Hockey 8 which is top notch.

Took it out for a quick spin and it works so well with the lows. Wood defo feels different to BBS. It's more flexy.... But not in a bad way. I'm digging this.

I’ve kind of blown off sub 8” boards since I had no choice but to ride one in the mid 2000s and then eventually started getting bigger boards once boards over 8.25” became more commonplace. They’re really light and nimble which is a lot of fun, it’s a lot less effort to learn new flip tricks
