Set up a chico! Already had one session on it, and its great. Its very similar to the krooked one but i fee its less square on the nose and tail and the tail is a little wider maybe. Ill have to do a proper comparison later.

So good!!!

Did it have anything on top to show it is BBS - sticker or anything?

The other newer boards seem like they are generic shapes from China, but I wonder if these are all still BBS or he is getting them all from the same place nowdays.

If no stickers or markings, what is the concave like?

* Sorry I ask too many questions.

EDIT:

Just read the 9+ thread post, so yeah BBS still for those ones at least.

So good, I had nearly the same setup minus the Ace trucks, I had 151 Thunder hollows.  Rad board though, so I just got the newer version of with the pilot graphics. Looking forward to going back.

First pair of Ace's, coming from Thunders...should be interesting! They feel squirrelly as hell from the 5 minutes I've spent on it so far. Saw the pilot graphic last time I was at the shop, Top Gun vibes.

Yeah,I'm kinda stuck on Hockey - Andrew Allen is one of my favorite skaters.  I've had a few and I just keep going back.  As far as Ace goes, I keep hearing people who skate them say that Ace trucks actually are harder to land tricks on but the gain is the rad feeling when turning....I suck and I don't need my tricks to be even harder to land than they already are, plus I ride medium tight trucks so the benefits justaren'tthere for me personally!! But they look so clean, and I love that they're skater owned....just aren't for me. :-[

These are my same thoughts on Ace. I would love to love them but I skate fairly tight trucks. I like the stability on an 8.5 board with tighter trucks.

My new Royal Raw trucks are dope but way too losses out the box for my liking. I might wait for a deal on some Tensor Maglites to see if those might be better for me. Another part of me thinks I should get a set of indys like I used to and just put some Bones hard bushings in and call it a day.

The 56mm conicals work really well on the shaped board. Figured I’d try them on my regular setup too. I ride my trucks pretty loose without risers

Just cos I really wanted one in 1990 (or 91?)

Dressen eyes slick 9.3 14.25
Ace classic 55
Bones fatties 56 ( prob 54 now)

Passenger house slippers ( best Xmas present from
My wife! )

(Re)Tired 9.25 - fun but found the concave a bit steep

Stoked to try a slick finally, I dipped out of skating for a couple of years when they were around the first time. Heard these new ones are better anyway. I shared one of the roses dressen decks which is the same shape and liked it.

Shame it’s gonna rain for a week now!  :'(

Hockey AA 8.18”
Venture 5.2 low v-lights
Spitfire 52mm 99a F4 classics
Mob
Bearings
Hardware

Not my daily driver (I’ve been skating more shaped boards recently) but I had all the parts except the deck laying around so I figured I’d put them to use for a second setup for when I convince myself I want to flip my board.

Second session after shoulder injury. Shape on that board feels so good. Dont know why i've tried so many different trucks when Thunders and Ventures feel best for me. Longer the wheelbase, the better.
