Pennswood 8.75 with a 14”wb (had a short flat ground sesh and it will take a little time to adjust but I love it so far. Wish it had clear on the bottom though)
Thunder 149 team hollow lights (Indy 92a top with stock bottom gonna see how this feels for a bit before putting the 92a conical bottom in)
54mm spitfire conical regs
Bones big balls
Ranger hardware
Pepper grip. (If it can hold up as well as mob it will be my 1st choice for grip. Grippier than jessup. Less grippy than mob. Today on my short session. It feels like my old worn in mob. So kinda perfect and I hope when it gets broke in it will be like new jessup. )

MOB's been super disappointing lately because for me the adhesive seems much worse than before. Jessup Ultra has been my go to now. As grippy as MOB, but with much better adhesive.

I thought I was the only one there for a second. Mob that I bought had been bubbling and peeling before even skating. Thought I was doing someone wrong even though I’ve gripped a lot of boards. Did jessup on my most recent set up and there was no issue. Mob must have had some pandemic production issues.
flat spotted 3 times in 2 weeks, other than that awesome wheels

I agree with the mob issue. I setup my last board with jessup ultra and it was amazing. Setup my most recent board with mob and it was like bubbled around the hardware holes.

8.5 Ishod, was stamped III
53mm Classic OGs. Just put them on.  Biggest wheels I’ve skated in a while. So far, so rad.
8.5 Venture V Lights
Big, blocky board. Very fun for curbs but not for flippy time.

I’ve skated these wheels before a long time ago on some classic 44’s, they’re the shit. But I’ve never skated shock pads, can’t remember if I ever did as a kid. They enhance the experience of these wheels and soften bumps and shitty surfaces even more. No dead sound either. I will say though, I can break into a powerslide super easy on some Spitfire 97a’s. These take some serious effort but I don’t mind, I like how they’re extra grippy.

I'll never understand the mob grip hate.  ???

Between Pepper and Miles coming into the mix, it seems like these two have the potential to be the next generation's Mob and Jessup. Based on team, image, and tech rolled into their products.

mob is thick and impossible to apply or keep on in cold weather

jessup is easier to apply and cut and unsanded its better than mob - does die out faster though but doesnt matter if youre skating heavily

I was skating today and slipping all over the place on some 99a conicals so I might have to grab a set of these to have around :)

Shake Junt Shelly 9.25x32.75, 14.875 wb
Ace 60 AF1 Lows, two washers on the inside, swapped in a flat top washer but otherwise stock bushings
Pig Pro-line 50mm
Quantum Atom bearings
Shortys Lights 7/8 allen
Only had a sheet of 9x33 Jessup laying around, so this is probably the most precise I've ever had to be with applying grip
Tried to find a collection of stickers to cover up the graphic but nothing was working out well. Will have to hit up some boardslides in that first session.

Beautiful @kneebone Really nicely proportioned set up. You should love those Af1 60s. Surprised that board has such a long WB but I bet it will feel great with small wheels and loose  trucks.

edit* just saw you have the lows... can't speak to those personally but still looking rad...

Set myself up an almost Christmas complete. The only thing that isn't new are the trucks. I didn't plan for it to be nearly a full Duffel set up but I'm stoked on it regardless.

8.6 Adored egg
standard Indys
Bones Reds
Orbs 53mm "Cory Duffel" wheels

That Skate Mental thread made me curious
I can’t really tell which side is the nose but it’s really fun on curbs so far.

Krkd 8.38x32.25x14.5
Indy Ti 149
OG classics 55mm. Fav shape now, hope they keep these in rotation
Crap bearings cuz the Spits are wobbly and I don’t want to kill the nice ones.
Pepper grip. Maybe I hold my face weirdly close to sharp objects but it kept shooting grip sand into my eyes. Cuts nicely and is oddly shimmery. Is griptape.

Shake junt as a whole is pretty ass, but that turtle graphic and who the board is for is pretty dope.

But just find a wide ledge and slide that shit

- Habitat Imaginary Beings II Fred Gall, 8 x 31.625 x 14
- Indy hollow forged 139s
- Santa Cruz Slimeballs 97a 53mm
- Bones risers 1/8
- Riptide pivot cups
- Random bearings
- Jessup grip I believe

Snow is finally gone (for six months anyway), so time for a fresh deck. In the past, I've had good luck with a Habitat board bearing the same dimensions, so hopefully this one works out. Concave is pretty mellow but not flat, same with the kicks. Nose is a bit more squarish and larger, which is good for me b/c I want to work on noseslides. Love the graphic as well; I have the same board in my collection.

I set the Indys up in April on a different board and they feel great so far, no complaints. I haven't had Indys in years but based on the lightness of these hollows combined with their look and grind made me interested. The stock bushings are doing what they should.

Wheels are great too - I wanted a 97a white wheel and these fit the bill.

Hopefully for my next setup I've got some Bones swiss. Also contemplating buying some 101a Loopholes, spoiling myself.

The Shake Junt Shelly deck is technically a Jay Thorpe guest board although I don't see any indication of that from looking at the pictures. I dunno I think it's a cute graphic

How are your grooves almost even-out on both hangers? Do you rotate them?

I wouldn't say they're even, back is definitely down more than the front but no I don't rotate them. Did notice they've wore down differently to other trucks I've skated. Last 2 sets of thunders both wore down in the same place, heel side rear axle and toe side front axle. maybe cus I skate less transition now than I did when I was skating those, maybe Venture's wear down differently I don't really know.
