Glider IceBlink 8.5" Twin Tail
Thunder 149 Hollow Lights
Spitfire F4 Classics 53mm
Bones Big Balls
Diamond 7/8" allen hardware
Jessup Grip

Super fun first session, totally weird trying to not throw the board down the same way every trick. I may need to get some new bushings because these do lean a bit one way but I haven't found the new thunder replacement bushings anywhere.

The shape is awesome, shout out to @Paul_gliderskateboards

Did it have any markings/stampings on top indicating what woodshop the Glider twins come from? If not, do you happen to know where? I've heard their regular decks are out of Chapman, but they told me that their twins are from somewhere else. I'm intrigued in trying one after my ishod twin is done.

Thanks for any info man! I've been wanting to move up from an 8 inch to 8.25/.5, but I have a bunch of 139's/147's on ice and am too cheap to buy new trucks for a wider deck. Might have to suck it up and do a magic carpet setup, although not my thing.
Let us all take a moment of silence for all our brothers and sisters who are dealing with truck madness. We have reached page 100 and shown the world that it’s not easy, but we’re strong as one.

No markings on the top ply or stickers on the shinkwrap when I received it. I can say my first impressions are that the deck feels a little heavy BUT it skated great my first session and my pop with Thunders is surprisingly high. My kickflips were feeling really good and it felt like I was catching them a bit higher.
If you see offensive comments, just let it go into one eye and let it out of the other eye, no tears and not sadness or anger.

@Not Internet Famous Yeah, I measured it and it's 35.6 cm (14.01 inches)?

After riding it for a session, it honestly doesn't feel like an 8" width, it feels like the PS Stix Quasi 8.125" I was riding a couple of decks back. My last deck was a PS Stix Quasi 8" and it felt markedly skinnier than this BBS 8"

That is weird though. After just perusing the intarwebs quickly - you are correct. Many pages list the deck I have as a 14.25" WB. Wonder if I got a bootleg or something?

No it would be a genuine Passport.

Even those dimensions listed by most places are provided on spreadsheets, not someone actually measuring the boards, so they are very prone to be incorrect.

I usually only go down to 8.125 or 8.25 which are both 14.25 wb or 8.38 which is 14.38 wb but the smaller boards are shorter too, from when I checked for someone a while back.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

Hate to stray from the Huffer but these wheels did not look right on the Huffer shape and so I got a Polar with wheel wells in the Memorial Day Sale.

1/4" risers in the photo but replaced with 1'8" Real wooden risers.

How do you like the ventures and this shape? I’m currently riding what I think is the same shape, but went with thunders (I am a big fan of this deck, not ‘magical’, but I’m not fighting it/thing are working out).
Anyways, yours looks dope

I’ve not skated this yet, but had the exact same shape for the last two months and I’m a big fan of it with ventures.

Quasi 8.5 with a 14.25 wb is definitely my favourite shape to skate.

Did they change anything about the dims for the "proto 2" model? So far it looks like its just the veneer that changed with the accent color.

Soooo (awkward), for as big of a PS Stix Stan as I can be, I’ve not had a proto, 1 or 2.
I’m on my second Glue 8.5x14.25x’32.125’. Possibly the same shape? If so, lovely. Dunno if gx also has the same shape, I’m assuming the Glue shape is the same (shipped from quasi).
I should probably size down, if the 8.25 is the same shape I’d be hyped to try that. I’ll just need to get over my weirdness about 8.25 trucks (have yet to be stoked on some).
Aaaaaanyways, Lots if nice setups being posted I’ll get out of the way

I've been riding 8.5 trucks on 8.25 decks since before there was any 8.25 trucks, and the one time I tried 144s back when they came out it just felt weird so I threw them in the box and kept riding 149s since. I'm already constantly switching between Indy and Thunder, I don't wanna add truck width to this madness, and most of the time I'm on 8.38 or 8.5 decks so it doesn't matter much either.

I think others have said they come out between 31.85 - 31.95 or so measured straight across.

I had a half dozen PS boards all the same, that had 8.375 x 32.25 engraved and were more like 8.3 at front bolts, 8.25 in the middle tapering to 8.1 at the back truck x 31.88 in length.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

I love it for the overall length, nice and short

PS decks are measured differently right? What’s the length of measure the same as BBS
[close]

I think others have said they come out between 31.85 - 31.95 or so measured straight across.

I had a half dozen PS boards all the same, that had 8.375 x 32.25 engraved and were more like 8.3 at front bolts, 8.25 in the middle tapering to 8.1 at the back truck x 31.88 in length.

Thank you as always and sorry for the horrible grammar. I shouldn't post while I eat lol

Mine tapers to 8.25, and is 31 11/16, tape pulled straight across tip to tip. I have a ps stix 8” board, that is really 7 7/8…I think they might spend too much time on the router dunno.

Polar P2
Venture 5.6 - hollow axle, cast plates, 2 speed rings inside, stock bushings+flat washer
Spit F4 97a 58s down to like 56s
random bearings+hardware
grip is a mix of mob(cow) and jessup(the drawn on part, shout out Hootie Hoo grip)
this is the right amount of crazy
+1 well done
while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo
