Baker B2 8.0
Venture 5.2 low
Spitfire 50mm F4 classics

Always wanted to try the lows. The wheelbite is abundant and quick even with 50s. I think I need to ride 101s so the wheels don't stop so hard when they hit.

Hard bushings
I wheelbit less with low 5.0 ventures with 52s than with low 5.2 on 50s.

Can you comment on the concave, and also the steepness of the tail? Concave looks to be mellow from the pics. The reason I ask is because I’m loving my extremely mellow concave ps stix deck, and think it’s helping an ankle injury just because it’s so cozy to land on. I’d love to grab one of those especially if it’s mellow

The concave is definitely on the mellower side, it's not that flat though, I found it pretty comfortable. I wasn't able to really discern an opinion on the nose and tail steepness, they felt pretty normal to me. I just broke my foot skating it so I won't be able to figure out if I like them or not for about two months lol.

Op, you ok man? Being real here, you doin alright?

Set this up as a placeholder until the new sob story sample boards come in (it's the closest BBS made deck with similar specs that I could find). The nose & tail are a hair longer than my sweet spot (7"/6.625"), but I'm pretty stoked overall with how it skates. Also, after bouncing around with different trucks, I'm back on Thunders and I think I may have finally found an end to my madness after setting them up with a Venture loose trucks top bushing & RipTide pivot cups ;D

This seems like similar dimensions to the Krooked Team Eyes 8.75. I really liked that board when I had it, but I’ve since gone down to 8.6s. Nice setup.

Cheers. The Team Eyes (if memory serves me correctly) are done on the standard DLX 8.75" shape (8.75"x 32.75" / 14.62" wb / 7.18" nose / 6.625" tail). I always liked that shape, but in the past few years have found a 14.25" wheelbase works way better for me (I'm 5'6" with shorter legs). This thing is rad, but I feel like the length/nose/tail are nearing overkill when you factor in the shorter 14.25" wb. I'm def enjoying the setup, though hahaha

Set up a new fun/silly board that actually turned out super fun

Creature Brue Killa - ~8.6 taper shape w/ punk point nose, block tail, 14.25" wb
Indy Mids - 149, stock bushings
Spitfire F4 99a - 54mm Classics, I think
Bones Reds
Mob/Pepper grip (gripped it using some scraps)

I was gonna run these 60mm soft Powell wheels and get a cruiser set-up, but I wanted to try the Spits (I've been running OJ elites for awhile now), and they work perfect with the rest of the gear. The board is so silly but insanely fun.

I'm the type of guy that buys all the clearance skate stuff that I have an interest in even if I don't need it at the moment (the ONLY cool part of being in your 30s) 3 decks, 3 sizes, 3 woodshops also a pair of Ace af-1 33s ($39.99 local) and Ricta Maurio McCoy naturals 54mm ($21.99 local)

Globe 8.0 x 31.6 r7 deck ($14.99 the-house.com product dump) dwindle

Hockey 8.5 x 32.0 deck ($52.99 local shop) BBS

And my favorite score a 8.125 x 31.6 Schmidt Stix Flip deck with the old Iron Horse logo!!! ($28.00 craigslist!!!)

My last two setups were a madness (dwindle deck, resin 7 dwindles still last me longer than BBS decks, IDC where they are made) 8.125 with steep concave and kicks and an 8.38 FA (BBS) with mountainess kicks and medium concave, what am I going to experience going to this flat as fuck Flip deck from Schmidt? The last time I had a professor Schmidt deck was 2014 as I quit skating for a long while.

Super nitpicky but Scmhitt Stix and PS Stix are two different companies and Paul left Vision/Scmhitt Stix before the 90s and started PS Stix

So you are saying the schmidt stix no longer exists? And that PS Stix is professor Schmidts woodshop since the 90s? My bad I never really new he switched shops. Still love the deck find but I haven't skated a mellow deck in a long time.

I’m just trying to offer a differnt perspective I mean do we really need another 8.25-8.75 hipster shitty brand with shit half assed graphics or graphics drawn by a shit artist who acts like they are purposely drawing shitty but really they just suck,( like what the fuck is that polar shit I tried to watch that shitty shopping cart smiley face video in New York and it was so boring literally zero handrails) and plain heavy ace or thunder truks and plain wheels with angsty cut up wannabe artsy grip tape. You guys only skate that shit cause you wanna be cool small decks and coloured truks r the best. I bet nobody riding shit can double flip a 7 stair. There’s a reason the top best pros today (Nyjah, Mike papa, Corey macentide, manny Santiago, John Hill) all ride 7.75

Probably rides an 8.5 now

I just checked and  yeah, it does taper a bit. But the kicks are mellow and they feel more blunt than pointy to me. It's one of the PS ones and those shapes always work well for me.

The PS ones are the best, and for me it’s not close. It’s a great shape
